That's exactly what I got.

I volunteer at the zoo, and I work with birds.
The best part of the job is
going around and collecting feathers.

So, I've got a box of sixty feathers
(Sixty-two total; two won't fit in the box.)
of birds from Australia, Africa, and New Zealand.

I just got home from the craft store,
where I bought some craft foam.
I am going to make a bird out of the craft foam,
and stick the feathers to it.
Sounds fun, right? xD

Scissors,
and HAWT GLOO.
I should have an X-acto knife,
but I've come to the conlusion that it was
stolen by super-intellegent, x-acto knife-using mice.

But I'm starting working on it now,
So updates may come later today.

I find sculpting by carving a load harder than sculpting with clay. I used to carve rubbers (that's an eraser for you Americans) and crayons into little fish during math lessons, I found it a lot harder than sculpting using clay like sculpey and i spent 3 days on one of them (it was just a fish furthermore). Good luck though!

If I were you, I'd double check on what kind of feathers you have. Each part of the body has a different shaped feather, so having a load of sendary feathers and no downy feathers in your possesion will result in a very strange looking bird. 

I know that some craft stores actually sell ready made craft foam birds for people to stick feathers in and make their own foam birds. So I suppose you could save yourself a load of trouble by getting one of those; but yet again, where's the fun in that? xD
