Yah. As always, anatomy anatomy. It really does help, even with chibis. xD
For instance, the first thing I notice is that her chest is huge and her hips are.. hardly there. Kinda looks unnatural.
Biggest advice I can think of for drawing girls that aren't like, twelve or younger. Women have big hips.
It's like how even in realism, you notice eyes over noses, even though noses are usually bigger. Yes.. we do have magical chests. xD But those only affect how wide the ribcage appears from the front a tiny bit. You can't ignore the hips, which will always be at least a little wider than the ribcage, no matter what kind of figure a girl has.
Also. Don't be afraid to get crazy with poses. Break out of that habit on the same pose of standing straight up with maybe a limb or two in a different position. Experiment with angles. Bend your characters to their limits.
Looking up stock photos of people doing stuff or going to a busy public place and doing quick stick-sketches of various poses can help a lot. 'S a great way to loosen up.
