I think you're really good. I'm never gonna be that great when I'm 17 >.<
I kinda feel like there's something off about the jaw and the teeth in number 11.
Just wondering though, how did you use fireworks? :O

I nade a stencil out of canvas and placed it on top of another canvas. I then lit fireworks (called dino eggs) on top of it. Only the exposed areas were burnt. I then drew on it with ink and painted it with oil paint.Yurp.

I can only do firework art during Chinese New Year or Hari Raya because that's the only time they sell fireworks.

Oh yeah, look at this

you can see that a lot of people improve immensely over a short period od time. There's no point in saying 'I'll never get that good' because you won't if you do. But never set an expectation of how good you should be in the future because you'll be dissapointed if you don't make it. Just keep practicing and see how things go.

I don't have a bunch to critique you on, so I'm just gonna say what I noticed.  Call me the tiny nit-picker xD

But, on the German Shepherd drawing, one eye (the dog's right, our left) is lower than the other.  And the bottom part of the jaw is sort of going a bit to the side (the dog's right, our left, once again), so it's not perfectly lined up with the top oAo

Oh my Gosh I feel so mean xDD  They're such tiny mistakes.  Unless you intended them that way.  If I'm saying something wrong, tell me. :3

It's not mean Ice. It's true.
I actually noticed it was kind of wonky while I was painting it, but I hoped no one would notice xD

I feel so awkward, posting after a lack of posts o.o

Overall, Ping, your art is AMAZING. I hope that one day I can draw to your standard.
However, when I look at picture 11, the end of the lower jaw, I feel, has too sudden a curse to the straight part. If you look at this picture, you can see it is more of a subtle straighten.
There is also more of a gap between the bottom jaw and the top part of the skull. The middle teeth are also larger. In your picture, all the teeth are pretty much the same size.

Gosh.. I feel so bad, critiquing someone's work when I myself am not good at skeletons. =/
Ah well. I hope you find this useful.

I don't like that t-rex. It's rubbish. I did it in 45 minutes. I know it sounds like I'm disregarding all of your critique, but this 'curve-straight line' thing you mentioned is really just a part of my style. If you look at all of my drawings, including my sculptures, you see this 'curve-straight line' thing

I honestly don't know why I do it, I don't think it improves the image. I just do it you see. My sister hates it but I just can't stop drawing like that and I don't really think it makes a difference anyways.

I know I've been saying this a lot. But I really didn't put ANY effort into the t rex. I only painted it in because my art teacher told me to. I didn't think, I just did it like I had to.

I appreciate the crit though. I don't really like only hearing positive critique because it's not useful, reasonably negative critique is always better than any praise.

Being critical of oneself is always the best thing for growth. Curbing your ego is important. If you're too proud or egotistic, you never leave the spot you stand on. I mean, why leave that spot if you're not perfect anymore? Of course, you do get people who lose confidence and just stop in general. I say being scared of failure or not improving never does anything. You're the only one at lost, you just left behind a whole load of fun.

Lately, I've been quite critical of my subject matter. It seems that my work walks around in circles, never getting anywhere. But that's my aim (hard to explain, I'll give you a wall of text if you ask me to explain). In general, I like quite humble artwork. I don't like being forceful, I want to create art  that looks 'quiet'. Humility and being content is what I've been playing around a theme for a while. I address it in several different ways of course.
