I was in Malaysia for the weekend. All the stationary I brought with me was a pencil, a Chinese caligraphy pen, rubber, paper and a ball point (I couldn't bring my pencil case because I like to keep all sorts of craft knives in there). I spent a bit of time drawing there and this is what I did:

(This tiger is only partially stripey because I forgot how tiger stripes go on their body)

(I was testing my new caligraphy pen, this one is fatter than the one I normally use)

(This is a monster design based on Saggitarius, I just read a few Hellboy comics before I started on this)

I you didn't notice, these sketches are really messy and dark. Well, I like filling up my paper with as many sketches as possible, so they normally make the whole paper dark. As you can see, the dragon's tail is invading the tiger's space.

Is the arm on the bow... human?

I made scanned some more sketches. Most of these were drawn either a long time ago or while I was bored during physics.

This fella is going to be sculpted and sold off to someone random.

(this one is pretty big). The one on the top is Raru's Xan, the tesuri near by is Raru's Sebbie and the weird alien thing at the bottom is my design for Leo (but with a lack of mane,). The anatomy is really icky, but I'm working on it. All the zodiac deisgns I do are being used in Raru's story 'the forest of the stars' (where a snippet can be viewed in the writing forum). 

A sketch of a raiken (just another word for 'fat goldfish'), no references used so it's pretty weird looking... and a ball point sketch of Shishigami (from Princess Mononoke). It happens to be on the front cover of the notebook I drew this in.

Oh yeah, and here's capricorn. Not much of a goat in my opinion.

Look! Real caligraphy!

Well, -ish... I actually used proper caligraphy equiptment for once. With the ink stone, mortar and brushes and stuff. Most of the time, I just use a caligraphy pen. Looks too western to be real caligraphy actually.

When I was dissolving the ink, I was all like "Everyone! Stop breathing!". (you won't get this if you haven't watched/read Mushi-shi.) Lots of fun playing with a new thing.

Ignore them spots at the top right corner, that's just where I tested the darkness of my ink.

Dark, thanks! I spent quite a bit of time on that! I loved that movie too, it's really cool.

Now here's something I did today during English.

Lineart's a bit thick around the markings for the eyes.

I can't draw hair, I'm rubbish at clothes and I can't draw anything else but a poor quality, front facing, male bust.
