*stares at it*

It reminds you of her art because for some reason I have an obsession with shine-ish parts. xD Although it looking similar to her art was never the intention. ^_^' I'll never be as good as her, lol.

But. You need a tablet. D:

I thought you had one? What happahed?

Although, if you're using a mouse and paint and producing stuff I've seen from you, you are epic.

Awww, thank you flashers. <3333

Here's something I'm currently working on.

It's a gift for me and a friend. I wish I could make it so much better for her, but. D;

Work in progress.

I know the Uwi meiko has some... position issues.

Imma fix them.

But what do you think about the shading on the Rodi?

I'm trying to get better at cell-shading or whatever. :x

Aha, that's a little drastic, don't you think? xD

I'm glad it impresses.

The finished product:

I got lazy on the wings, if that isn't already noticeable. xD

But I still like it. <3

And I hope my buddy does, too.

The Rodi wus leik. I don't know. It just turned out epic.

I think me fat as- I mean. All around big dragon self was so big that I had a harder time shading it. xD Oh wells.

I did my siggy, too, and I'm pleased with the results.

But I want to know why cell shading is so complicated. o3o It's supposed to be so simple, and yet it seems so hard for people (and myself) to nail.

Its harder since the shading is much sharper and kind of set in stone or something. If the light is hitting wrong somewhere, its much easier to spot, rather than with soft, realistic shading.Plus you need to know how the shadows go and all.

For me,at least, its because i have a hard time picking out the colors.I can never really get the right shade and im always afraid to go too bold and dark with it 8C
i always end up making it too light and its always hard to get the 3d kind of effect to the piece.Thats why i like drawing in black'n'white and all semi-realistic or something 8D

That makes so much sense.

You know what I do to shade, though? I use the layers.

For darker layers set them to multiply, then for the lighter ones set them to overlay.

If you do that you only have to keep the colors on shades of gray and it will color it with blue (or whatever the flat bottom la
yer's color is.)

I think that's how most cell-shaders do it. o3o
