Ok...So yesterday my husband gave me my Mother's Day gift. A Bamboo Create. He knows I love to draw, I just kind of got out of it due to no time or motivation. Anywho. This thing is pretty awesome...I don't consider myself a good artist, but I don't think I'm all that bad either. Your criticism is welcome. Just please - don't be rude.
I am very much a visual artist. I can not draw from my head for the life of me...Ohh how I wish I could...So many cool things go on in my head, but oh well. So I mostly look for tutorials and such to learn how to draw certain things.(Yes - it is most likely that you've seen this art before...but as I stated...I practice with tutorials and I assure you this art is what I drew...no traces or anything like that. The only thing I use for help sometimes is a grid system....and thats only because I'm bad at portioning sizes correctly.) I am a perfectionist so I do work and work on one single piece until I get it as much like my visual perspective as possible. So once my abilities have branched out maybe I'll be better at drawing with no visual. One of the first things I drew on my Create was a Chocobo...and this is my first attempt ever at shading, and layering etc. So any pointers would be absolutely great. It still looks kind of off, but practice makes perfect. Right?

My programs that I have are - Corel Painter, Adobe photoshop, paint.net, gimp, and autodesk sketchbook...Out of all of those I'm most comfortable with the free paint.net believe it or not. I'm still trying to get used to the new things...

This section will hold my artwork, and the next post will hold things I have adopted/bought from other people. I did not draw anything from the second post..nor do I take credit for it.

I am considering commissions since I need tu badly. If you see something i have drawn that you would like one of, please let me know. The chocobo can come in various colors.

I do not know what to price my work at, becuase I am my own worst critic. So I suppose it would be pay what you like, as long as it is not clearly taking advantage of me and my time.

I will try to draw any tutorial along the lines of what I have done previously..simple line art and coloring. Preferrably cute/cartoonish. Lol. I have never done anime style but I would try it.

I would even do a couple of free commissions depending on how hard the piece is. So please do share if there is something you would like drawn! :)

Would someone be kind enough to give me a pricing guide??

Please and Thank you!

my first attempt at drawing a creatu - Narwi...not too bad for a fast sketch I don't think >.>
2nd is Kayoki....I had soooo much trouble with the eyes...eyes are a huge weak spot for me. They still dont look good, but it was a fast sketch. I didn't want to tweak them too much
I used pixel grids with original image side by side to get the image to the right pose/shape.
