I guess..... I just really wanted to participate in an anniversary for a series for once. I've never motivated myself enough to do it before, and it's something I've wanted to do for a while. Even if it does involve lots of sads in this case. xD
Admittedly I'm more than okay with sads though. I secretly really love sad things. I don't even know why, I just do.

Am I? hahahahahaha sorry it's unfinished though I have the most awful attention span and digital art is mildly frustrating which doesn't help with that at all Still pretty happy with everything but the face. This made for some nice practice as far as digital shading goes. P: |

okay i'm skipping a few months in trying to catch up on posting stuff 'cause i'm not too happy with many of my drawings from when i last posted, so here. this one's from october.  this is an old character of mine, atria. i've been trying to figure out a new design for her and i like this one a lot, aside from the skirt being so long she probably has issues getting around. i'll probably either shorten it or have it be torn at the bottom. |

so far my main idea for her is that..... because of something she did, i'm not sure what yet, she's got a curse stuck on her that makes everything around her slowly turn to spires of ice if she stays in an area for too long. it's actually the subject of a legend across the land - people say there's this hollow city somewhere in the mountains where a lone empress watches over silent streets and empty palaces. the reason it's such a legend though is that it's not really just one place, it moves around and shows up wherever atria goes. she rarely stays in one place long enough for buildings to appear, but whenever she does and someone stumbles upon it, that's where the stories come from
she usually stays in the mountains 'cause ice cropping up around you is less noticeable when EVERYTHING'S icy, and there aren't many people around up there anyway. now and then she'll venture down into the lower lands if she needs something or gets lonely. while it doesn't help much with the lonely feeling since she has to keep moving, it's still nice to see faces pass by.
