Phone Calls
"You know Logan, sometimes I miss your voice before you hit puberty."
"Shut up, Camryn."
"No, really. But your voice is...better this way, too. It's, well...never mind."
"Tell me!!" He instantly responded, knowing that if I said never mind, it was something he wanted to know.
"Forget about it, dude, it isn't important." I was never gonna tell him how cute his voice sounded, now that it was...deeper. It was too odd.
"All right, whatever. OH CRAP! CAMRYN! This guy's playing tetherball with a beehive!"
That's my best friend, Logan. I've known him since sixth grade, where we were in five classes together. It's been three, almost four years since then, but we're still inseperable. Yeah, he's a boy. And yeah, I'm a girl. And yes, people think we're dati-
"This movie is f-cking hilarious."
"I'll bet it is. What just happened?"
Logan was watching Jackass 3. And that's almost exactly what Logan was-A jackass. The kid's crazy. Like, really crazy.
You have to love him for that.
You see, me and Logan talked on the phone at LEAST three times a week. If not, more. And today was just another one of those times. For him, at least. For me...it was another chance to get to hear his voice. His adorable little voice.
Today, Logan wanted to ask his neighbor, Caitlin, out. I've never really liked her personally, but they were really good friends. So when he asked me if he should, I told him to go for it. Inside, I was smiling. I loved it when he came to me for girl advice, because I felt like that he relied on me. And every time I'd remind him I was always there for him, and he'd tell me "Ik" and move on. What he didn't know was that when I said that, I meant so much more than he thought.
((Just some ramblings. May add a bit more.))
