Lucky duck. I have to wait until it comes out on DVD to watch it. The movie theatre where I live is way to expensive.

Awww. D: The 3 am tickets were really cheap, but a medium bag of popcorn at our theater is about seven dollars. That's the pricy part about our theater. Also, I woke up because well, I never fell asleep.

"What now?" he asked as he twirled her hair around his fingertips, the light copper flecks in the black locks hidden in the darkness of Riley's room. In answer, she pulled her body next to his and searched for his lips in the darkness. He found hers and she playfully caught his lower lip in her teeth. He kissed her and she melted into his familiarity and found herself being held against him as his arms circled around her lower back. "I don't like how talking breaks the kiss," she said as she turned her mouth to the side and away from his. He chuckled and used his chin to bring her back to face him. "Then don't talk," he responded and they continued for a moment, pushing each other, daring each other to go harder. Riley pulled back and let her chin rest on his as she thought. "I want to go see Jay," she decided and she saw a flicker of something that resembled envy in Felix's eyes. She frowned at the thought of hurting him and made up for it by matting down his rather tousled hair, messed up mostly by her hands. "Fel, you'll always be the only one I love." she said seriously and his eyes seemed to soften. "And I you," he respoded as he sat up, her clutching to his chest at the suddenness of the movement. "Why do you want to see Mr. I'm Going To Kill You To Save You?" he asked sarcastically and Riley threw her pillow at him. He caught it with ease and tossed it back onto her bed. When he went to lean down to help her up, she snatched the pillow and smacked him in the face with it. When he pulled the pillow down, his eyes were narrowed in mock anger, gaze actually light and playful as he watched her. She sat on the edge of the bed, about to push herself up, when he pounced. "Oof," she said as his waist pushed against hers, the upper part of their bodies falling on the bed. His breath tickled her ear. "Behave yourself," she said as she fought to control herself. He seemed to be attempting the same so she pushed him off reluctantly. "Alright, we'll go see lover-boy," he finished as he threw his shirt on. "Why don't you move in?" she asked and he looked up from his bent over position as he reached for his shorts. "I will if you want me to. I don't have any attachments to the place where I am now," he said with a shrug and Riley frowned. "I want you to, but I don't want to make you." she hedged. "That's enough for me; you wanting me here." he pulled his shorts on before approaching her again, his hands cupping her cheeks. "You're the only thing I need now." "Besides food and water," she said with a grin. "Speaking of food, make some coffee?" she asked. "Ree, that's not food," he said, but he was already out of the door and in the kitchen. She smiled to herself and began to pull on a tank top. She paused in her actions and rummaged around in her closet for a moment. She pulled out a faintly worn, but still wearable V-neck black t-shirt. Deciding she liked the mix-up, no matter how miniscule it was, she slipped it on. After pulling on the rest of her day clothes, she walked out into the kitchen. "Nice look," he complimented as he glanced up from a steaming cup of coffee. When she walked past him, he attempted to smooth down her messy hair. She waved him off and grabbed her own cup. ....Eh. Finish later. Fingers don't like me right now. xD ---- Her frown turned to a grimace as they neared the lake, Riley's arms encircled around Felix's chest as they flew. Her sharp eyes were pinpointed on the spot where Jay had fallen, but he was gone. She dropped Felix when they were about a foot from the ground so she could land more easily on her own. When she tucked her wings into her back, she approached the spot. "Knew it," she mumbled as she picked up the white feather that lay on the blood-soaked ground. She twirled it around in her fingertips as she thought. Felix came from behind her, but he didn't touch her, not wanting to interrupt her thinking. "Who's is that?" he asked from behind and Riley's grimace turned down even more. "Jay's," she responded as she used the white feather to fan her cheeks. "So what does that mean?" Riley turned to face him with an almost neutral ex pression on her face. "It means he's not dead and there are more angels in the area," she said with a sigh. "But you killed him," Felix responded in disbelief, his angry eyes glowering at the feather. "Angels are hard to kill, Fel." "They're going to come after you," he said as he grabbed her arms to pull her in closer. "Yes," she said as she searched his eyes. "But they're afraid, Fel. They know I'll fight back. How do you think I've lasted so long before?" she asked with a roll of her eyes. He didn't seem to be convinced, but there was nothing she could do about that. "Let's get out of here," she said. "Too much blood spilled here for my tastes," she muttered and Felix cupped her cheeks in his hands. "There's one good memory here," he whispered and Riley smiled. "Yes, there's that. Let's not make another one right now," she said with a grin, but she pecked his lips quickly before ducking out of his arms. He spread his arms out to the side and unlike her typical take-offs, Riley ran at Felix's back, her wings unfurling as she sped toward him. When they collided, Riley's arms wrapped around his torso and she lifted them into the air with a few strained beats of her wings. "Ree, can you drop me off at the corner of Second? I'll meet you home at around seven," he said back to her and Riley blinked. "Uh, sure." she responded. It was only three o'clock now and she wondered what would take Felix four hours to do around town. She sighed and flew onward until she reached Second. When she neared the spot, she coasted in for a landing. Felix smoothed down his windblown hair and winked at Riley. "I'll be home soon," he promised. Riley smiled at the word home.

"Nice way to kill someone; the shadows, I mean," he said nonchalantly and Riley leaned against the doorframe of her room, arms crossed as she looked at Jay. "You made me lose my wings, Rye." he said with a manic laugh, his eyes holding hers for a moment before he looked away. Something was different about those eyes, but Riley couldn't tell what it was; her thought were too mixed up by his appearance. "You just can't leave me alone, can you Jay?" she asked with a sigh as she tapped her fingers on her arms in an impatient gesture. "What are you doing here?" "I don't know, Rye. How about you tell me?" he said with narrowed eyes as he stalked up to her. He brushed his hand against her cheek and Riley arched her brows before swatting his hand away. "Now don't be like that, Riley." he cooed. Then as he went to kiss her, it hit Riley. She pushed him away playfully and let out a barking laugh. "You're human, aren't you Jay?" she asked through her chuckles. Jay swung his arm at her, but Riley dodged it easily. "Honestly, Jay. That was lame even for a human," she sneered and he connected his fist with the wall in anger. "You did this to me, Rye. I'm still on their side," he said dauntingly. "Mhm," Riley hummed sarcastically. "Now that you're human," she began before she pounced on his chest. He fell against the floor, his dark hair hitting the carpet. He looked up at her with fightened green eyes and Riley dug her nails into his shulders. "I can kill you," she finished as she dipped her head into his ear. "Actually, not necessarily," he said cooly and Riley growled as he picked up his head and smacked it back down on the ground. Jay groaned as the pain reverberated in his head, but he looked up at Riley all the same. "Go ahead and try to kill me," he whispered and Riley flared her wings out to the side. She looked up at her counter and sent a few writhing shadows from her palm and onto the table-top. They brought down something silver and placed it in the palm of her hand. "Should I use the butcher's knife to cut you little by little or shall I gouge your heart out?" she purred into his ear and she felt him stiffen. "I said kill, Rye. Not torture," he breathed and Riley's eyes danced with sickened happiness. "Well, you're not in a position to be making decisions," she said as she patted his cheek. She inched down his body, but kept her wings firmly placed on his wrists to stop him from moving. She could feel his frightened gaze on hers as she held the knife tip just above his rib cage. She took the knife and held it there for a moment, waiting for him. He let out a sigh, seeming to realize she wasn't going to do it. She chuckled once before diving the blade into his skin. Jay closed his eyes painfully and he let out a shallow breath. Riley twisted the blade in his skin, over and over again the silver metal went. "How does it feel to have a hole in your body?" she hissed into his ear as she pulled the knife out from his body. Jay laughed, a hearty twisted laugh that echoed throughout the room and made Riley's skin crawl. She looked down at the wound and let out a frustrated scream. His skin was molding back together, the wound closing up again, blood soaked in the ground, but not affecting him. "No," she begged as she took the knife and slashed ribbons into his body. "You will die," she said, but another pair of hands pulled on her wings and wrenche her off of him. Riley spun around from the unfamiliar touch, but her blue eyes found someone very familiar. "Katrina," she hissed as she narrowed her eyes at the light angel in front of her.

"Don't you just love get-togethers?" Katrina said as she sat down gently on Riley's tattered and worn couch. She sniffed the air disdainfully and pushed a few blonde curls from her eyes. "Jay, clean up, honey." she said as she peered at Jay who was laying on the floor in a pool of collecting blood. Riley pushed herself off of Jay, her typical graceful movements choppy and clumsy. "I haven't seen you in a while, Kat." Riley said, her monotone voice hiding her anger. Katrina rolled her eyes and caught a few curls of hair in her fingers. She twirled the blonde locks around in her fingertips and looked at Riley with a feral grin. "You're angry, Riley. Very unattractive shade of red your eyes are right now," she said as she kicked her feet up on the coffee table. Riley merely growled at the girl's boldness and leaned against the wall. "Since when do you care about my eyes, Kat?" Riley asked smoothly. "That's besides the point. Riley, would you make our job easier and please just let us...dispose of you? It'll be easy, I promise," she said with obvious discontent in her eyes. Riley knew the look; Katrina was done with being nice. She wanted to get down to business and that meant exterminating Riley however she wanted to. The black-haired girl merely yawned. "Eh, I'm enjoying life right now so I'll have to go with no," she said with a bored ex pression on her face. Play your words carefully, she thought to herself. "So why is scumbag not dead?" she asked. "I had a very fun time making the shadows eat him. Pity it didn't last," she said, copying Katrina's nonchalant tone. "Jay tells me Felix is back. Tell me, Riley? Is he the only reason you want to stay here? You know you don't age. What happens when he dies?" "Answer my question," Riley said through gritted teeth. "Jay did die, sweetie. We just decided we didn't like him dead," Katrina mused. We, Riley noticed and she tucked the bit of information to the back of her mind. "Sad. I liked envisioning his gruesome death by the lake." "We'll be seeing you, Riley." "Thanks for the visit," Riley said as Katrina stood up, her blonde curls bouncing around her shoulders. She grabbed Jay by the collar of his shirt and swung him up to his feet with a few mutterings from him. As they headed out the door, Katrina turned back around. "Oh and don't try to run, Riley. We'll find you," she said with a wink and left. The door closed loudly behind them. "Perfect. F*cking perfect," Riley said as she found her way to her bed. She stretched out her wings and sat against the wall, her bed nestled right in the corner of the room. She stroked her black feathers and sighed, but her fingers trembled with anger. She grasped the black feathers near the middle of her wing and in one snap of her wrist, yanked two out. She winced at the pain that laced her right wing and spread to her back. But she continued, her fingers moving on their own as she stripped herself of the shadowy plumage. She didn't hear him come through her door, but his hands were on hers immediately, pulling back against her struggling hands. He didn't yell at her. He knew that would upset her. She gave up against his strong arms and instead, let him pull her into a hug as tears streaked down her face. She caught one of the tears and curled her fingers into a ball around it. "Black tears, black eyes, black wings, black soul. Everything's black," she cried in frustration and Felix pulled back to catch her eyes, his hands cupping her face. "I'm sorry," he murmured and he pulled her close, pulling the covers over their bodies as she rested her head on his chest.

She didn't realize blood was covering her hands, staining her shirt, but she knew it was dripping from her wings. It wasn't until she looked down at her hands, curled tight around Felix's shirt, that she saw the crimson blood. She released him immediately and he caught her shoulders before she could move away. "It's not mine," he murmured and Riley instantly relaxed. Her lip quivered as she looked up at him with solemn eyes. "I thought I had hurt you," she said painfully and Felix shook his head slightly. "You want to tell me what happened?" he asked as he twisted her around so her back was facing him. She blinked, but her eyelids drooped slightly as his gentle hands massaged her shoulder blades and the membrane of her wings. She shivered and stretched her wings out farther, muscles rolling underneth his touch, losening up under his fingers. "Jay's not dead. The bastard won't die, I tried again. Katrina must have saved him," she murmured and Felix's hands paused on her shoulders for a moment before he resumed his path. "Katrina?" "Another light angel," Riley replied bitterly. "And I'm guessing she wants you dead, too." "You think?" Riley asked sarcastically. "Every sane light angel wants me dead," she said. "What was ripping your feathers out going to do?" Felix asked quietly and Riley drew her knees into her chest and folded her arms around them. "They say your feathers are the mirror image of your soul, the shape of the wings being your personality and your spirit. If the plumage is destroyed, you lose your soul and more than likely a demon will inhabit it," she said gloomily and Felix pulled back sharply on her shoulders, turning her to face him with an infuriated ex pression on his face. "You will never do that to yourself again. Damn it, you can't do that to me either," he said, brows knitted in anger and Riley reached to touch his cheek, but he turned away from her. "Look at me," she whispered and she saw a flicker of something in his eyes. Amusement? Either way, he turned to face her, anger still clear in his gaze, but the fury was quelling. "I promise you that I won't ever even think of doing that again. I was just angry at what I was and wanted to escape," she whispered and they stared at each other for a long moment before Felix sighed. "You scared me, Riley." he said, his voice rough. "I shouldn't have dragged you into this," she muttered when she realized his throat was closing from unshed tears. "Hey," he murmured as he lifted her chin up. "I was the one who offered you the ride in my car. I was the one who sought you out in this city and forced you to tell me who you were. I was the one who kissed you and made us see the past," he said and Riley smiled. "Looking back, you were very pushy, but you were the one who gave yourself to me," she said as she twined her fingers in his. "And I'm the one who loves you," he said as he brought her lips to his. They kissed again, Riley's mind enveloped so wholly in him that she forgot everything except for him. "Let's make another memory," she murmured against his lips and they curved underneath hers as he smiled. "I was just about to say the same thing," he said as he lifted the covers over them. ---- I am going away to my hometown tomorrow, will be staying a week, and I'll probably not be replying to this. :c I figured that was a nice little place to leave it. I'll be back soon!

"I want this forever," Riley murmured as she traced small circles on Felix's bare chest. She slipped a few select pieces of clothing back on and curled up against his side, one black wing falling to rest on his chest, the other strewn across the bed and touching the floor. The black feathers tingled whenever they touched his body and she never felt so good. "You don't know how amazing that feels," Felix whispered, his eyes still closed as he played absentmindedly with a strand of Riley's hair. She pressed her wing harder against his chest and he parted his lips.. When he cracked open his eyes, he saw her smile and he pulled her closer to him. "I think I liked it better when you didn't have this on," he growled as he placed his fingertips on her lips, his eyes sparkling with varying emotions. "We really need to get up and run some errands," Riley said softly and Felix closed her mouth with a brush of his fingers again. He leaned his head down and kissed her, her few attempts to push him away melting at his touch. She wrapped her wings even more tightly against him and he laughed, forcing them to pull apart. She smiled, still tasting his laughter in the back of her throat. "Did I mention they're angel tracking errands?" she aked innocently and Felix growled again. "Can't the angels wait?" he muttered under his breath and Riley tilted her head back in a loud guffaw. Her wings shook with laughter and Felix grinned as he watched her. "That feels good, too," he breathed as he motioned toward the feathers that were running across his skin as she laughed. "Why does it?" he asked as he stroked her wings. Riley closed her eyes and let his fingers slide smoothly over her plumage, the touch feeling like a massage all on its own. "I don't know, but you're the only one that it's responded to so strongly." Felix pulled back and arched his brows at her. "What else do they respond to? Or should I say who?" he asked wryly and Riley rolled her eyes. "Honestly, Fel. Jealousy?" she teased. "I'm a guy, I can be jealous." he shot back as he nipped at her lower lip. At this, she knew he was teasing her and she drew back with narrowed eyes in mock anger. "Well, before I met you, there were a few guys," she said with a wink and Felix snorted. "Like who?" "Human or angel?" she asked in a sing-song voice, her rasped throat making her words sound more gruff than intended. "Which should I choose?" he asked. "Angel is shorter," she said with an innocent wink and before Felix opened his mouth, Riley silenced him with another kiss. "But it doesn't matter," she said as she drew away. "Nothing matters from back then. There's only you," she said and Felix smiled.

When Riley finally managed to pry herself away from Felix, with more than some reluctancy, she had trouble putting her clothes back on. Her shirt, she ended up having to put slits in so her muscled, damaged wings could get through. "Why can't they go through your clothes?" Felix had asked her and Riley had sighed. "Because I tore off the feathers and now they're material things rather than celestial," she replied. "How come I could feel them when they weren't like that?" he asked. "Because they respond to you," she replied again. "Why?" "Do you ever stop asking questions?" she teased as she threw a pillow at him. She tried to hide how much pain the scabbed wings were causing her, but there was no doing that from Felix. He made her stretch open her wings to as far as the small room of her bedroom would allow. "Jesus, Ree." he said softly as he knelt by her right wing. Riley bit her lip as she looked at the bloodied mess of her right wing. "It'll heal," she said as she folded her wings as gingerly as she could against her back. "Also, I probably won't be able to fly until tomorrow," she said uncomfortably. "What about angel tracking?" Felix was making a great effort to stay away from Riley so both of them could focus with clear heads. It was serious business, but Riley was still pantless and Felix was both pantless and shirtless. It was getting tougher with every minute. Riley picked up Felix's clothes, not bothering with boxers seeing as he already had them on, and threw the bundle at him. "Get dressed outside before I go crazy," she said and he chuckled as he shut the door on the way out. (Sooooo brain-dead. -stalls-)

Thanks for that, Winter. I was contemplating on ending this again, actually. Fans like you motivate me, though. xD --- With both of them being fully dressed, the physical attraction between the two of them wasn't as strong, but it was definitely still there. Riley sat on the couch with her legs propped up on Felix's own, her head resting against the arm of the chair as she thought. She closed her eyes and let out a deflated sigh, at a loss with what to do. "Fel, can I give up?" she asked through a yawn. He flicked her legs and snorted. "Nope," he responded and Riley pushed herself up into a sitting position. She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed again. "We're going to need some help," she said grudgingly. "I thought you said all the light angels were out to kill you," he responded and Riley was still amazed at how cool he was with all of this angel talk. "No, if you remembered correctly, I do believe I said all of the sane ones wanted me killed," she responded as she sidled up next to him. "You know any insane light angels?" he asked. "No again, but I think I know where we may find one." --- Stopping there because I need to find a new character name. e_e

"He's a fallen, like myself," Riley said as she glanced sideways at Felix. He strode next to her, strong, confident steps that made Riley love him even more. The way he carried himself with such an overwhelming sense of purpose made her feel...warm. She kept her hands in her back pockets, short-shorts hitching down a bit from the weight, but she didn't mind. She caught Felix's eyes flickering to her back a few times and she pursed her lips in a smile. "And you've only heard about him?" Felix asked. "Yep," she said. "He hasn't shared his Angel Name with anyone so I honestly don't know if I know him from the past or not," she said reluctantly, her mouth set in a grim line. "Angel Name?" he asked and Riley shrugged. "What's that?" "Ah, your true name. All angels have one," she said as she looked at Felix, brows raised. "Typically generates in Latin because it's so close to our ancient language," she said thoughtfully. "It's born with us." Before Felix could open his mouth, Riley silenced him with an obvious look. "And no, I'm not telling you mine." He left it at that. They continued to walk through the dirty streets of California, the occasional old newspaper flying past their ankles as they walked. "So what were you doing that day, the same night Kat and Jay showed up?" Riley asked as the thought struck her. She looked up at Felix with curious black eyes and he smiled. "Just a little shopping. Hey, we should stop by...uh, some place before we head out of town," he said and Riley shrugged. "Uh, sure. Where's the place?" she asked and Felix grabbed her shoulders and turned her sharply to the left. Surprise lit in Riley's eyes as she looked at the vehicle dealership in front of her. "We can't afford a car," she said, thoroughly confused. They had planned on walking and hiking to the place where Riley had wanted to go, in the outskirts of the city. "You can't," he said and pushed Riley across the street. They walked into the car lots and Riley shot an envious look at a few cheap motorcycles. They were nothing compared to her old one, but damn, she wished she still had one. Felix brushed aside a few stands of hair that had fallen into her face and lightly pressed his fingertips against her neck. "Wait here," he murmured. --- Riley's smile turned to a feral grin as Felix walked out from around the dealership's building, a sleek black motorcycle by his side. Her eyes widened slightly as she recognized the BMW logo on the side and she realized at once what she was staring at; a BMW S1000RR Motorcycle, probably one of the best cruisers out there. "What do you do for a living?" she asked as he approached and Felix laughed. "I was born into money," he said with a shrug. "But I've helped my father out with his business." "Damn," Riley said. She noticed the black helmet sitting on the seat and she crossed her arms over her chest. "There is no way in hell I'm wearing that," she said pointedly and Felix pursed his lips. When he was going to ob ject, she waggled a finger at him. "I have faster reflexes than any human on earth and most mortal things can virtually not hurt me," she said. Felix sighed and picked up the helmet, giving her a look of innocence before plopping the black helmet on his head. Riley snorted and mounted the bike as he handed her the keys. "Like I'd let you fall," she muttered as she started up the engine. The motorcycle thrummed beneath her, one miniscule turn at the throttle and the engine was roaring. The feel pulsed through her and Riley felt one with the black bike. "I could get used to this," she murmured. Felix mounted behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. As soon as his legs lifted off of the ground, Riley kicked off, releasing the clutch and sending the bike flying out of the lot. "Am I the best boyfriend ever or what?" Felix asked over the howl of the wind in both their ears. In response, Riley grinned, a twisted blissful grin, before pushing the bike harder. They flew over the road, wind tearing at their bodies, coursing through their skin. All of Riley's senses were sharpened as she weaved through cars on the highway, only one destination coursing through her mind and filling her senses.

Riley rested her hands on Felix's shoulders, eyes cast down as she leaned against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her and she felt consoled by the safe feeling he was able to pass to her with that simple touch. "My wings, Fel." she said as she slid them through the slits in her shirt. "What about them, Ree?" he asked gently as he ran his fingers through her hair in an attempt to smooth down her windblown waves. "If he turns out to be, you know, not insane, I won't be able to get us out of here," she murmured. She shuddered at the thought of having to carry Felix while her wings were in this state. Yes, she could fly by herself, but Felix was another matter. "Can we wait?" he asked and Riley shook her head. "I don't want to give Katri and Jay another chance to get to us," she said. Felix gave Riley a gentle squeeze before releasing her. Riley placed her Aviators over her eyes and glanced upward. It was a cliff, similar to the one she had saved Felix on all that time ago, but this one's incline wasn't nearly as steep as her cliff. She knew they were in the right place; she could feel another angel nearby. She shuddered and walked to the base of the cliff. When Riley turned her head back to him, she gave Felix a small nod. Together, they began to scale the edge of the cliff. Riley kept her wings out to give herself gentle pushes up the rock face, at least, that's the impression she wanted to give Felix. If he fell, she wanted to be ready for it. Glancing sideways at him, she examined the dip to his brows as he concentrated. His jaw was set, mouth dipping down into a frown as he thought. His hands were steady as they grabbed hold of rock after rock, lean muscles rippling as he easily pulled himself up. He looked up at her and smiled smuggly when he saw her pausing to watch him. Riley shook her head and rolled her eyes behind her sunglasses. They continued up the cliff edge and Riley reached down a hand for Felix when she reached the top. He grabbed it and she helped to pull him up. They sat down next to each other, feet over the edge as they let themselves rest. "I can feel him," she said softly and she felt Felix momentarily freeze up at the word him. "Can you recognize him?" Felix asked finally and Riley shook her head. "I never knew this one well enough to. Either that or he's masking it from other angels," she replied as she looked around them. Her gaze settled on a path in the woods. To others and probably to Felix, it would look like just another stretch of the wood around them. But to Riley, she could see the essence of a light angel having tread over the area. Part of the leaves on the ground shimmered faintly. She pushed herself up and walked over to the path. Felix joined her while Riley crouched down to stroke the leaves. Mouth in a firm line, she stood back up and set off into the woods. Felix followed as she wound her way around trees, eyes always scanning the ground to follow the tracks. Her brows knitted in confusion and she stopped, glancing up as she did so. Felix gently touched her shoulder before pulling away. "What is it?" he asked and Riley frowned. "The tracks. They just end," she said and Felix blinked. As she looked back at him, she realized that he hadn't seen anything, especially what she was following. "Nevermind," she said with a shake of her head. "I think we--" "Well, well, well. If it isn't the shadow caster herself," a withered and gruff voice said to the right of them. Riley's eyes widened in dibelief as she recognized the voice and she huffed indignantly when Felix placed his arms protectively around her. She wormed her way out of his grasp and ran to the light angel that had spoken. She met a warm embrace as he pulled her into him and Riley smiled as he leaned down to kiss the top of her hair. "Prozettore," she whispered as she pulled him closer. She pulled herself out of his grasp and looked into the angel's dark violet eyes. She could see the age in the violet depths, the joy of seeing Riley. With a shake of her head, Riley looked back to see Felix's crestfallen ex pression. She laughed softly and approached him. She kissed him gently and cupped his cheek in one hand. "This is my mentor," she whispered to him and he seemed to straighten at the news. His body language casted away any sadness he had just felt before and he looked at the man as he pulled Riley closer to him. "It's an honor to meet you," he said and Riley squeezed him tighter, eyes closing as she felt happiness sweep through her. Prozettore looked at the two cryptically, but there was nothing cynical in his gaze. Riley worked her way out of Felix's grasp and let Prozettore's gaze wash over her. She wanted to touch his white feathers so badly when he unfurled his wings, to wish away the darkness inside of her. His wings had an aura of something ancient about them, the form of the very wings large and welcoming. As for Prozettore himself, he had deepset eyes that were crinkled around the edges. Aside from that, there was no touch of mortal age that marred his face. His wide chin was as prominent as she remembered, elflike ears also protruding from the mess of blonde curls that was his hair. "It is good to see you," he said to her and she realized he wasn't saying her true name as she had his. The fact bothered her for a moment before she whisked the thought away, saving it for another time. "We were hoping you could help us," Riley said.
