Discrimination is the new virus
pulsing silently in the veins of weak men,
ready to pounce; ready to wail
and unleash hell on earth again.
Will you let it out?
Will you even let it in?
Much like a breath
exhaling the oxygen within.
Allow it to calm you
like a cigarette's fumes.
It will lure you in
and paint you with gloom.
Oh, it taints humankind
as most imperfections do;
leaves your misconceptions of me
and mine of you.
Because it pulses through the veins
of the strong and the weak
and they only way to prevent it
is to think before you speak.
