Dodge, step, duck, step, jump....
"Flamethrower!"
In mid-air, the Quilava spewed flames from its maw, at the same time as its Trainer's command. It was as if the Pokemon would use that attack whether it's master bid so or not. The Bayleaf, who had dodged only enough to avoid getting K.O.'d, stood up and faced the fire type. It was a done deal as the Quilava's Trainer ordered another attack on the gras.s starter evolution.
"Flame Wheel!"
Again, the attack was almost simultaneous as the fire on the Pokemon's head and tail flared, and the Quilava spun, creating a disc of fire with its body and headed straight for its opponent. The Bayleaf, knowing nothing but defeat could come, took the attack head on, and was knocked back, landing, fainted. As the Quilava undid itself from a wheel, its Trainer rejoiced in the victory. The Quilava smiled and glanced happily up at his Trainer, who lifted the Quilava onto his shoulders.
"Come on, Cyndr. That win deserves a feast!"
The win was mine, not yours. Of course it deserves a feast. The Quilava started intently at the Trainer that couldn't hear his thoughts. Of course, the same wasn't true for Cyndr. He could hear his Trainer's thoughts. And the poor Trevalth. He doesn't know....

Back at the Pokemon Center, all of the Pokemon were having a great time. Except Gylfie. She was the only one not participating in the after-battle merriment. Ever since Trevalth had discovered Cyndr's talent, he had ignored Gylfie's training, and she had dropped back, now the weakest Pokemn on the team. the Noctowl, sensing that it was nine o' clock, let out a hoot to let the Trainer know.
"Noct. Owl."
Trevalth looked at his watch, then nodded at Gylfie. It was time for the Pokemon to return to their Poke Balls and rest. Except Cyndr. Gylfie seemed to shrink as she rememberd how she used to be the one to sleep outside. Of course, she didn't sleep at night, but it was the thought that counted. Gylfie glanced at Jirachi. The wish Pokemon had been a gift from a friend, and felt sympathetic toward Gylfie.
Jirachi chimed a few words to Trevalth, who nodded, somewhat understanding the Legendary. He glanced at Gylfie, who was dozing, from lack of daytime sleep.
"Okay. Gylfie can stay out tonight. I have to get up early tomorrow. Five o' clock, Gylfie."
The Noctowl nodded in understanding and reminded herself that at five she had to wake up her Trainer. As the other Pokemon were taken back into their Poke Balls, Gylfie flew over to Trevalth's shoulder, while Cyndr sat on his other shoulder.
"Tomorrow, we shall go to Goldenrod and challenge Whitney."

Too lazy to type any more today. But this idea just popped up into my mind. Ima draw Cyndr, Gylfie, and the others sooner or later. Dun worry.
