1. Can you help me by giving your thoughts on this summary/plot? 
 
Treyc-Lee George lives the average teenage life. Too average, in fact. Treyc-Lee has no hobbies, no ambitions, no talent. She thinks that the reason behind this is her having no mother or father to bring her up and nuture her the way any other teenager had been nutured. On the day before her 16th birthday, Treyc-Lee attempts suicide, and wakes up, to find her long-lost Grandmother, Lijuan, who is a Chinese Elder in the Geisha culture. by her side. Treyc-Lee decides to join her Grandmother in the Geisha business, to see if it holds and hope for her future...

A kind of prologue...

'Cheng! Grandmother!' Sobs racked my malnurished frame.

'No! NO! Hurt me, instead, please!' I screamed, but silenced by a swift kick to my ribs. Then I remembered the amulet Grandmother had given me on my first day.

'One day they'll come, and you can protect us with this.' Grandmother handed me a little red velvet box and I opened it. There, on the pearly cream silk, lay a golden chain, with a ruby charm on it.
