Warrior cat storyLeaving the wild
Chapter three
I feel that I"ve been traveling for a half a moon, but I guess it"s only been about 20 days.
I was at a twoleg fence, walking on it. All of a sudden, a brown-white blur hit me.
It was another cat! A she-cat, to be precise.
She was chasing a pigeon, and I had to snort slightly in laughter at her. She couldn"t catch a turtle! Her skills were all over the place!
The she-cat then turned to me. Her eyes were.. mazing. I couldn"t help gawk at them.
They were violet, a strange eye colour for a cat, with it getting lighter and lighter at the pupil. Her coat was glossy- white with brown splotches- obviosly groomed a lot.
She stared at me for a while, then finally spoke.
"Who are you, and what are you doing on my land?!"
I was so shocked, I nearly fell off the fence. Her territory??!
"I didn"t know kittypets owned territo-"
"Shut up!" She snapped. "I"m no kittypet. I only live by them, as disgusting as it is-" She wrinkled her nose- "I will fight you, and I"m warning you."
I finally fell off the fence.
"Smooth, Mr. I-can-tresspa"ss!" She smirked, but it was a friendly smirk. "Might as well be introduced! What"s your name?"
"My name is Cri- I mean Riverpaw."
"Wierd name. I"m Violet. Of course, I was named after my eyes."
"Well, Violet, would you kindly give this starving tresspa"sser some food?" I put drooling sarcasm in my voice, seeing how she would react.
She didn"t seem to care.
"Are you worthy?"
"Yes, madam." I almost laughed my head off.
"Well then, you may!"
I have never felt so grateful in my life.
After a squirrel, and a sharing of a small hare, I started getting up.
"Thanks for the hospitality, but I must go."
"So soon?"
"Fraid so."
"Where are you going?"
I didn"t exactly know how to answer, so I just said, "For an adventure."
"I"m coming too, whether you like it or not!"
I think, with a companion, I wouldn"t be as lonely, and at night, I would be warmer. And a bonus: More food! But the bubbling in my stomach told the real reason I let her join:
I was in love.
