"Come on, Remix. I gotta be there in fifteen minutes."

"Coming, sis! Just gotta feed Toaster!"

Remix opened the fishtank, throwing algae tablets in for the plecostuma.

After carefully making sure the fish was set, she trotted after Scratch. She looked around, wide-eyed as a filly. This was her first time in Ponyville, not counting moving furniture in and out of their house a few days ago, and everywhere there was color and life. Vendors sold flowers and fruit in stalls while other ponies dined outside the cafe. A trio of fillies zoomed by on a scooter, deeply intent on...something.

"Hey, Remix, let's GO!"

The plum colored pony huffed in annoyance. This was a new town, a slate wiped clean!

"We've only been here a week. How do you have a gig already?"

Vinyl Scratch smiled wearily.

"I DID have appointments lined up before we moved, you know. I canceled everything that was too far away-you saw me do that. But would it make sense to not do anything in the town we were moving to?"

"No, I guess not."

"Hey, cheer up! At least you get to come out and look around! Mom and Dad are sooo uptight. I couldn't take another day shut up inside."

"True," Remix said, perking up a bit. She walked on contentedly for a bit, trying not to fall too far behind as she continued to gaze wonderously about her.

Scratch soon started glancing about nervously. She would go one way, change her mind and go another.

"Oh, darn it. This town's way bigger than it looks." She frowned. "Certainly wish we had a map." 

Seemingly out of nowhere, a bright pink pony stepped in.

"Why need a map when you've got my Pinkie Pie Compass?" She was bouncing in place. Just watching her made Remix feel slightly nauseous.

"Could you like, hold still for a second?" she asked, wincing each time the other's hooves left the ground.

The pink pony stopped and stared at Remix.

"But you're a Pegasus pony. You have wings. Why are you getting motion sick? Pegasus ponies are always moving around. Except Fluttershy, but she really doesn't ever move, even on the ground. You should meet her, you'd like her. Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie."

Scratch and Remix just stared at her for a moment, then the white sister smiled warmly, though puzzled.

"Uhm, maybe some other time. Do you know where-"

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie jumped up and squealed. 

"I know you! You're DJ Earwor- I mean, P0N-3!"

Before either Scratch or Remix could reply, Pinkie left them in a cloud of dust.

"I bet town hall has some directions," Remix suggested as she wiped dust out of her eyes.
