Its a new year

Will the dread diappear? 

Of our friendship once lost

How great was the cost

Now here we sit

emotionless on this day

We should be together

but afar we will stay

Alone in the dark

I sit and I ponder

Alone in the dark

I stand, and I wander

To be from you is like to have no light

No source of happiness,no thrill,no sight

And now here our lives stand

Riped in to pieces never found

Scattered around in our world

Buried deep into the ground

Could it ever be fixed?

Can we mend Broken hearts

My head says no 

But my soul says yes

We are binded forever 

By a sisterly strength

We are binded forever

By nature's instinct

So though our loved ones

hate oneanother's guts

We love eachother

And thats all that counts

 SPIRIT AND DOVE'S STORY

I awoke to a cold winter morning, the farmiliar chill air seeped into my den as I arose and padded into the warm sunlight. I stood there and wtched the sunrise over the horizon, as I did every morning. Afterwords I went over to a pond near my den and began to lap at the water. As I was doing so, I heard a loud noise followed by a "HAROOOOO" and before I had a chance to see what it was I was plunged into the frosty waters. Furious, I peeked my head out of the water to find who had done that, and what I saw suprised me. It was a small wolf pup, unlike any I had ever seen before.A small black nose, a pure white muzzle, Sharp, glistening teeth, long, beatiful legs, a skinny white torso, and a long, beautiful tail . "Hi!!" She exclaimed as I emerged out of the water mysified."My name is Dove!" she said in excitement as I continued to star at the pup's beauty. "Whats your name?!?" She asked and I answered "Spirit...." "Thats a nice name! We look a lot alike too! We are both white, and skinny, and beautiful!" She said racing around me in small circles. Finally comming to my sences I said "What is a pup like you doing all the way out here, away from any pack, and knocking me into freezing water?!?" Dove couldn't sence the anger in my voice, because she just tilted her head and asked "Well...what is a pup like YOU doing out here?" I flinched at the question and Dove just said "Well, i'm looking for a new home..see my mam got really sick,and I couldn't cure her, and the rest of the pack exiled me because I was the runt, and they said they already had too many mouths to feed without me in the way, so I had to go as far away as I could, because they said if they caught me in their territory they would shred me to piecies..." Finally Dove had quieted down, so I had some time to think about the cruel words that had escaped from her mouth. I was the runt too....I thought to myself. Maybe I ought to help this pup..we are alot alike...even our life stories compare..The silence didn't last long, soon Dove was pack to her perky self "Will you help me find a home spirit?" She asked as she showed her puppy dog eyes. They were pleadding to me to help. "I suppose-" was all I could say before I was glomped onto the ground and my face was full of licks and thank yous.I let out a giggle. This pup will be a pawful..but I think It'll be worth it...

"Follow me my friend" I said to Dove as I got to my paws and padded towards my den."This is where you will live" I told her motioning to a leaf bed in my den. "WHIPEE!" She exclaimed jumping into her bed and messing it up. Leaves flew all over the pace, along with bits of moss and braken. "Oh my" I sighed to myself as a leaf landed on my nose, and moss covered my pelt. "Where will you sleep Spirit?" She asked. "Next to you." I replied pointing to my destroyed bed. "oh" she said as she rolled onto her back. Allof a sudden I heard a loud rumble that made me jump. I soon realized what the noise was. "Dove, how long have you gone without food?" I asked suspiciously. "about a moon.." she answered, almost silently. "Well then!" I said trying to perk her up. "Lets go find you something to munch on!" almost directly after I finished my sentence Dove rushed p*censored*ed me almost knocking me off of my paws. "Lets go!" She yowled racing off over the flat plain of land. I followed, hard on her heals. Soon I was in front of her. "The best hunting spot is this way!" I announced as I sped up ahead. I would show rhis pup who was the leader around here. I could hear her loud, clumsy paws thudding on the soft Earth behind me. Silly pup I thought as I slowed down my pace, and she bumped into my rear. I went flying and soon had a mouthful of dirt and grubs. "Are you okay?!" She yowled as she rushed by my side. I rose my head and spit out all the disgusting contents in my mouth before I said "You'll be the death of me, won't you Dove?" She simply wagged her tail and laughed "I guess so!". As I got to my paws once again, and regained balance, I said "Okay Dove, lay low and follow me, when we come across something good, I'll motion you with my tail to stop, and we'll devise a plan." She nodded and crouched down as best as she could. I chuckled and did the same..only better. I slowly crept on the hard Earth, through the weeds and brambles, until I heard the slightest ruffling, and scented deer. I motiond Dove to come closer so she could hear me. "Deer up ahead, a whole heard, we go for the old and weak, okay? No fawns, no young doe..and especially, no young buck. Got it?" I asked as she nodded excitely. I peeked through the tall gr*censored* in search of a target. Soon I spotted and old buck, scars of battle marked his entire body, and his hooves and antlers were chipped. He was grazing relaxedly, totally unaware of the threat of Dove and I. "There is the one D-" was all I could manage before Dove flew out of our cover and raced towards a young male. "oh no" I mouthed as I watched in horor. I knew I had to help! I took a deep breathe and flew out of the tall gr*censored*, bracing myself for the worst....

Before I knew what I was doing I saw Dove leap on the huge beast, and I did the same, tearing at it's flesh as hard and vicious as I could. I felt his warm blood seeping out under my claws, and I felt a surge of energy flow through my body. I swiped at his ears, bit his neck, clawed his torso, and growled threats. I heard Dove yowl in pain as I whipped my head around just in time to see the male buck Dove in the stomach and send her flying. I was furious. I threw my attention back at the buck, and ripped his neck open. I wrapped my body around his muzzle to suffocate him, and I clung onto him for what seemed like moons. Soon the hot breath stopped on my belly, and I felt the enourmous creature's body tilt. I jumped off majestically just in time befor the deer collapsed hard on the ground. Panting and dizzy, I closed my eyes and tried to regain myself. I opened my eyes to a dead buck, and what looked like a dead Dove. I rushed over to her side and pleaded for her to awaken C'mon Dove! You can't leave! There is so much more for you to do! Suddenly she chocked awake, and jumped up, as if ready to fight. "Huh?" she gasped "You killed the buck?!? All by yourself?!?" She stared in amazement and her eyes flickered from me and the buck several times before I asked "You okay Dove?" And she nodded happily "Yea, I'm fine, but I'm starving! Lets eat! "I watched as she bounded to the dead creature and almost began to devor him "Wait!" I yowled rushing to face the beast. There was still light in his eyes. "Thank you, your meat will sustain my body, and because of your death, I will live." and no sooner or later than I had finished that sentence, the last bit of light flickered from the bucks eyes, and he lay there, dead, but still warm, as if full of life.....
