Kay, so I have this character in this story I'm working on.

rn

rn

Cassius has deepset eyes that look to be black, a crooked nose and shoulder length black hair. From far off, he looks like a raven and he's rather sarcastic.

rn

rn

I need help with a dark-sounding last name. Not one that's been used by authors before.

rn

rn

Please and thank you :)

Sanctus? Not sure if it's been used in a book before, but both Sanctus and Umbra mean 'ghost' in Latin, depending on the circumstances. Oh, and if you want to go with Latin, there's Powra and Tenebrae too, meaning 'fear' and 'darkness' respectively.

Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

Why do you need a dark sounding surname?

I mean, it's not like everyone in a single famiily will be evil whilst coincidentally having an evil sounding surname xD

In my opinion, you don't need to ask people to help give him a dark sounding surname. If the surname is symbolic, you would've known it already. If you want a symbolic name look at your inspirations, use an allusion to Greek mythology or something. If you can't think of anything why bother? You only need to call upon others to clarify or get opinions on more technical things (like pacing and story structure). Not to generate ideas.

This is how the creative process works. You don't need ideas from others because you already have them ;D
