Love's Pain

Never again shall you hold my hand.

Never again shall we together walk,

The endless beauty of sea-washed sand.

'Forever' was what our bond was supposed to be,

'Forever' was what you whispered to me.

Don't fill my innocent ears with lies.

I've heard enough, I've broken them,

Those insolent and unfaithful ties.

Our so called 'friendship' was but a disguise.

See the tears drip down my face, my emotions' demise.

Your pain was a dagger to my love.

You were the fearful hunter,

And I was the frightened dove.

Gulliable was my blinded heart of all hearts,

All I saw was your grace, your wisdom, your neverending smarts.

Every waking moment I spent for you,

You wasted my precious and obvious efforts!

Your love was a lie...who knew?

What was that suppose to symbolize?

Was it the hints of the backstabbing lies?

My tears of hurt and pain seem to never end.

Somehow you're unaffected and unhurt...

Maybe it's because you had no reason to defend.

 After all, you were the one who threw the dart,

That pierced my soul and killed my heart.

Do I receive no sympathy from my enemy?

The true you is becoming clearer,

I'm met by ignorance when I voice my plea.

  Do you see the shards of my shattered emotions?

That terrible realization of your false devotions...

Despite my hatred... give me one last kiss.

I should hate you,

But yet it is you I still miss.

Still, my emotions brutually crash...

Hatred and love, together they clash. 

Never again shall we warmly embrace.

Never again shall we allow to linger,

Our touching lips, breaking with haste.

 Do you crawl into bed wishing for bliss?

Do you crawl into bed missing our kiss?
