PART 1:
Kicking
rocks into the pond, I tentatively stared at the birds flying across
the sky. If only there was somewhere else; I wish there was a place that
allowed me to explore the unknown. A place where I could scatter my
dreams along the blue ocean and all over the clear skies. I threw my
dried hands into the cold water. My hand clutches onto a rock, and I
bring it into my vision. I would throw it back into the pond if only
this was a rock.
It appears to be an egg. A plain blue egg.
Possibly it is a bird egg. No...no! This is much more than that! It's
larger than a bird egg. I rub my finger across the shell. It is warm and
slightly heavy. I examine it closely, making sure there isn't any
cracks. Nothing. This is a perfect egg. How? Why would there be an egg
in water anyway? What is this? I hold it close to me. The sun starts to
set. I have learned in my previous years at school, that eggs must be
kept at the PERFECT temperature. With bird eggs, if you touch them they
die. Although, this is far from a bird egg. I take a risk and gently lay
it in my jacket. Planning on looking on the internet for answers, I get
up to head home. However, someone else had a different plan.
PART 2:
I feel lightheaded. I stare into the darkness. I look around me,
searching for someone to answer my questions. No one. This..this,
whatever this is, is vast. No one is in sight. Anywhere. I feel around
for my jacket. Surprisingly, it made it too. My jacket is to my right.
The pocket still contains the big blue egg. The egg has a little crack
running all the way down. I tentatively watched it, unsure of whether
this egg was about to hatch or if it already did. The cracks continue to
grow larger, surrounding the whole shell of the egg. I nervously set it
on the blue ground slightly ahead of me. Lord knows what is inside of
this egg. All I know is that this is NOT any normal creature. I just
stare. The egg shell forms into halves.
A small blue
dog-like creature stares at me with a smile. It's white wings spread out
like a bird's. It stumbles toward me. Although I am petrified, this
animal is anything but dangerous. I gently run my hand across its fur.
Wagging its tail, it licks my hand continuously. I smile at its
sweetness. It playfully ran around me as it took its first try at
flying. As it was flying around my head, I noticed that this creature is
a girl. She lands beside me. I gently caress her with my fingers. "Do
you know where we are?" I said aloud. "You're in Rescreatu." A male
voice said from behind.
PART 3:
I quickly glanced behind me. He slightly grinned and
walked
toward me. "Hi. I'm Canaan." he said holding out his hand. I returned
the action. "I'm Ally." I replied nervously. "Hm. We haven't had a
newcomer like you in centuries. What brought you here?" he asked. "Uh. I
found this egg. Well, this creature." I replied. He slightly laughed.
"This a Tesuri. The eggs are found on the planet, Atquati. Wonder how
she ended up on earth?" he stated as he bent down to pet her. I know I
should ask to find a way home, but I don't want to. I hate earth, with a
passion. I just keep quiet. "Right now you are in Uldavi." he said
sitting next to me. "How many planets are there?" I asked. "Five." he
replied. "Relcore, Scria, Reiflem, Atquati, and Uldavi." he said.
"Uldavi, as you can see, is pretty vast. Relcore is much like earth, but
of course, it has its differences. Scria is like a sky planet. It's
kind of based on clouds and heavenly features. Reiflem is like a dark
fire planet. Atquati is pretty much based on water." he stated. "How do
you travel to each planet?" I asked curiously. "Well we can transport
ourselves, or our creatu fly us there." he replied. "That's
interesting." I said. "I thought I was stuck on earth." I said. "Guess
not." he said with a grin. "What are you going to name her?" he asked.
"I haven't really thought about it." I replied. "I didn't even know she
was 'mine'." I said. "You hatched her. Therefore, she's yours. Unless,
of course, you trade her or auction her off." he said. "I don't want to
do that. I want her. I just didn't know I could have her." I replied.
"Well she's yours Ally." he said. I looked up at him. "I'm going to name
her, Lily." I said. "Ah, c'mon." he replied. "What?" I asked. "Come up
with something more..unique. Do you not agree that unique pets need
unique names?" he stated. "I guess you have a point." I replied. "Just
take time to think about it." he said. I nodded. "So, what planet do you
live on?" I asked. "I live on Relcore." he replied. "Oh." I said. "I
have always wanted to experience what earth is like." he said. "Why?
It's awful. Well, at least where I live is." I replied. "Maybe to you,
but Relcore is as close as I can get to normal. I have seen different my
whole life." he said. "So you have lived here all your life?" I asked.
"Yes ma'am." he replied. "How did you find me?" I asked. "Grontor, my
uilus, was exploring the skies while I was buying things for my merchant
shop. He came and got me and told me you were here." he said. "They
talk?" I asked. "Well no, but the they communicate so well that it
practically is like a conversation." he replied. "Interesting." I said.
"Want me to show you around?" he asked. "That would be nice." I replied
with a smile. Part 4:He brought his fingers to his mouth and whistled. A big owl-like creature came flying towards us. "Well, hey there Grontor!" Canaan said as he fed him some wild berries. "These are Relcore berries." he stated as Grontor gently rubbed his furry head against his. "Is he your only pet?" I asked. "Here they are considered creatu, but no. I have others, but they enjoy staying near home. Grontor likes exploring the skies to see what he can find. I love all of my creatu, but Grontor and I have something special." he said. "That's nice." I replied. He grinned at me. A few moments of silence took place. To break the long chain of quietness I said, "I want to name her, Arriea." "That's better." he said with a wink. "Thank you!" I replied sarcastically. His short brown curls bounced around as he took a step ahead of me. "Like it so far?" he asked. "A lot." I said. "Good, good." he replied. Situating himself on Grontor, he grabbed my hand pulling me up behind him. I got a tight grip on Arriea. "Is she going to get really big?" I asked curiously. It seems impossible considering she fits in my two hands perfectly. "Since she is a female, she won't get as big as the males. However, she will grow to be big enough for you to sit on her." he replied. "Oh." I said. "Since we live in two different worlds, will I not see you after this?" I asked. "Absolutely not! We can always travel anywhere around Rescreatu. Unfortunately, though, there are locations that you won't be able to access in the other worlds." he said. "That's better than nothing though!" I said. "Honestly, I thought this would be the last time we'd see each other." I stated. "I wouldn't let that happen." he replied. I saw his hand get a tight grip on Grontor's fur. He let out a slight shriek. "Sorry, buddy." Canaan said gently petting him. My wavy hair blows in my face as we pass through the clouds of Scria. "Ah, Scria." he said. "Isn't it beautiful?" he asked. "Very." I replied. Grontor let out a sigh of relief. The way he did it was adorable! I laughed. "He loves Scria." he said. "He spends most of the day here." he stated. "I can see why!" I replied. "Are you going to live here?" he asked. "I want to see the others first. I love water though, so I'll probably go with Atquati." I replied. "Atquati is lovely. I could see a girl like you living there." he said. "A girl like me?" I asked. "Yeah," he began, "a loving, curious girl. Atquati is great for scattering out your thoughts. You seem like a girl who enjoys calm and innocent. A girl who likes to think." I smiled. "Catch on quick, huh?" I replied. "Am I right?" he asked. "Pretty close." I said. "Then I guess so!" he said looking back at me with a smile.
"We're getting ready to pass through Atquati, so keep your eyes open." he said. "I couldn't close them if I wanted to." I replied. As I stare down at the clear blue ocean, a grin comes upon my face. I love it already. I sigh. "Looks like Arriea knows this is home too." he said. "Am I that predictable?" I asked with a chuckle. "You are either that, or I'm just very talented at guessing." he said. "I guess we'll find out with time." I replied. After a few moments he said, "Enjoy this breeze because we are about to hit the fire planet. Reiflem." he said. I look down at the bubbling lava. I see a variety of eggs scattered around the planet. Although it is filled with fire, it is a very lovely planet. Quite quaint, to be honest. As we exit the planets and enter the skies, I hear screaming. We both glance down quickly.
"Canaan Parker, you get home this instant!" an unfamiliar voice said. "How did she find me?" he said thinking aloud. "You can hear people all the way from another planet?" I asked. "Apparently." he replied. "I'll try and show you around some more tomorrow. Want me to take you to Atquati?" he said. "What am I supposed to do there?" I asked. "I'll get you settled before I leave you." he said. "Ok, thanks." I replied. He takes me to a little place with a lake. "Here. Stay here until I can help you again. Here is some food. Feed her daily. She will show you if she's hungry. Be nice to everyone. Avoid everything until I can teach you some more." he said. "Um, ok. Wow." I said with a laugh. "Are you going to be ok?" I asked. "I'll be fine." he replied. "Thanks for everything." I said. "I enjoyed today." he replied. "Me too." I stated. He smiled and returned back to his home planet.
