Part 1: Cat's Eye Veiw
Chapter 1: Clans Of the Forest I stretched my limbs, yawned, and rolled over. I was overly suprised when I did this, I had never remembered even doing nothing. The biggest suprise came next. I opened my eyes and stared up at my mother. She had sparkling eyes the color of Lapis Lazuli. How I even knew that word was a mystery to me. Anyway, her fur was a fluffy tortoiseshell, and her claws were clearly sheathed. Then I felt something bump my side. I looked beside me. Appalling! There, taking up all my room, was my brother, who had pure black fur, and my sister, with a dazzling whte pelt. I realized I was a kit, and I was the prettiest tortoiseshell kit ever born. I soon was able to move, and began to explore my surroundings. I found that the walls of he cavern we seemed to be in was made of a soft, green material. Jutting from between the sections of green were brown pointy sticks about as long as my leg. I tried to pull one off, but found it poked your mouth when you pulled on it. But my brotherand siste kept playing with them, batting at them and biting them. At one point my white sister even started to bleed, and Mother licked her and cooed, "It's OK, don't cry, you'll wake the elders." I think that she didn't deserve affection, I did, because I was the one smart enough to stop touching the sticks. I didn't know that word "Elder." I vowed to ask Mother as soon as my mouth learned to do more that eat. Speaking of eatng, several times a day, my mother feeds us, and it just so happened that I was napping while my mother called us over. I had to push my brother and sister apart to get to the food, whick my mother hissed at me for. After a while I started to hear my mother calling me Tulipkit, my sister Maplekit, and my brother Thunderkit. I envied them, "Tulipkit" sounded babyish to me. My mother called us over to us one day and she fed us something called a mouse. It tasted so good, I nearly snapped at Maplekit when she tried to take a bite near me. After we finised I asked my mother the question I had been pondering for nearly three moons. "Mother, what are elders?" She laughed and replied, "Soon Tulipkit, soon. Soon you will know what lies beyond the nursery." So that's what this dome is called the nursery. And I heard other cats outside that it was in a plant called a bramble. Kits and thorns? Who came up with that?

As the weather became colder, I seemed to be the only one who noticed. My mother continued caring for us as usual. Tunderkit and Maplekit continued to get into trouble, at least once a day. Mother seemed more interested in them than me. Why? I was the good one, I knew my brother and sister would do anything to get themselves hurt. Meanwhile, I, the smart one , licked my fur and dug in the leaves lining our nests. Under there were small bugs that were safe to play with, instead of being cut on thorns. One day Mother got up and stretched. I thought she was just going to get something to eat, but when she was halfway through the door she called behind her, "Come on kits." I jumped energetically after her, but Thunderkit and Maplekit acted like nothing was happening. In fact they tackled me, and I had to fight them off, rolling Maplekit halfway across the den. My mother hissed. "Don't play so roughly with your brother." I sat up and whined, "But they tackled me!" Maplekit got to her feet. "Ow, ow, ow... OW!" she whined, when she attempted to walk on her front left paw. Mother and Thunderkit glared at me and walked over to help my sister. I scowled and bounded out of the nursery. A wall of scent and sunlight hit me straight in the face. The scent of so many different cats, all basking in the sunlight of the clearing before me. Several other dens not unlike the one I had just vacated were dotted around the edge of the clearing, which itself was made of the thickest hedge. At one end of the clearing stood a tall, proud oak, with a couple of rocks next to it. The crevice between them looked inhabited, and they led up to a branch where a couple cats would have room to stand. The other cats around the clearing were in all different colors. My siblings and Mother emerged out of the nursery behind me. "They are sharing toungues." she said. I realized what she meant. Most of the other cats were deep in conversation, giving the occasional lick and sharing a peice of prey.

I, filled with curiosity, bounded over to the nearest cat. "Hey, mister." I say, prodding his tail with my paw. He looks over. "Hello, Tulipkit." he says. I was startled he knew my name. He had dappled ginger fur, and white paws, tail, and one white spot over his left eye. He had a kind look in his gray eyes. "Umm, how do you know my name, mister?" I ask. He chuckles. "I am Adderstar, leader of Snakeclan. I know every kit born here."
I tried to look like this wasn't news to me, putting a supposedly intelligent look on my face. I gazed around at the other cats. They were all watching Mother take Maplekit over to a hollow under the tree where a large tabby was sitting. Thunderkit had wandered over to a pile of fresh-kill and was chatting with a white tom while eating a vole. So that's what this group of cats was. Snakeclan. I like that name. My mother had told us once about the types of snakes that lived around here; Dangerous addders, garders, and poisonous rattlesnakes. So this was my home, with these kindly cats, in this warm clearing. As the cool northern breezes ruffled my pelt, I got a chill down my spine. But not from the cold. I had happened to look at a large black tom on the other side of the clearing. His yellow eyes, just like Thunderkit's bore into my skull with a feeling to strong to describe. "Adderstar," I asked, "What is that cat's name?" He curled his white tail around me and said. "That, Tulipkit, is your father Nightclaw." My father, huh? He wasn't going to get any affection from me.

rp about what? In this story Tulipkit(she-cat) will grow up, die, and get ressurected. The rest is a suprise.
Later that day, after a speech from Adderstar and when Maplekit returned from the hollow, I decided to see who lived in that crevice between the rocks. I padded over to the entrance. I put one paw forward... "I wouldn't do that if I were you." said a deep voice from behind me. I turned around. There standing a tail-length away from me, was my father, Nightclaw. His yellow eyes bore holes in my pelt. "Wh-why not?" He laughed, a wicked, crow-like laugh. "Because, Adderstar doesn't like visitors." He smiled. I smiled back. "I don't think he would really mind." I told him, trying to make my voice stop trembling, and doing a bad job of it. Nightclaw shrugged. "Suit yourself." he said, turning around and plodding off. I shuddered and walked into Adderstar's den. He was curled up in a nest of braken, with a small space next to him, where I went over and sat. "Adderstar." I whispered. He trembled and opened his eyes. "Oh, Tulipkit, you're here." he said, sitting up and shaking the leaves off his fur. "I was just dreaming. A nightmare. All four clans were fighting!" I gazed at him, confused. He seemed to read my thoughts from my face, and said, "There are three other clans, Tulipkit. Treeclan, Mudclan, and Dripclan. "Treeclan is the clan of glory. They think they are better than any other clan, because their territory has the most trees, and therefore the best at climbing them to catch more prey. Mudclan is perhaps the poorest of the four clans. Their territoty is always soft and wet, and they are stuck eating frogs snd rats. Dripclan is overly obsessed with the fact that they have a lake in their territory, ignoring that it has more cons than pros." I nodded and sat up. "I, um, need to go find my mother." I said. Adderstar nodded too, and he led me back out of his den and into the camp. *End of Chapter*
