I originally wrote this for my little cousin 2 years ago, but added some more this year. Enjoy ^.^

Here is a poem

Just for you

Filled with monsters, ghouls, and lollipops, too

Big, scaly monsters creep under your bed

Letting dozens of spiders

Crawl on top of your head

Werewolves are howling

Vampires are prowling

The night of all nights

That scares children the most

Halloween night

Where monsters boast

On who scares the most

To lead the monsters away

In the dead of the night

Is the most frightful fright

That children will fight

Dressing up in costumes for candy galore

Stopping door to door

Wanting some more

The clouds hide the moon

The monsters come soon

The fight is on between children and ghouls

One side will win and one side will lose

You lead the kids in the dead of the night

With garlic, silver, and torches alight

The ghouls may win

The kids may lose

But all of a sudden

The moon shines through

The monsters run

They can’t b e seen

The kids

They cheer Victory!

The children are safe

The monsters are gone

But they will be back again; next Halloween night

Waiting and watching to give you a fright
