I'm extending the limit again so more people have a chance to enter. The new date is......June 1st. Reddaysi: I'm not sure, but maybe something about Bur the Omni, a famous explorer and respected far and wide, goes on a quest to find the Treasure of Atquati. Bur finds the treasure, but it is guarded by two Narwis: a ginger female Narwi named GingerTopaz (nickname is Topaz) and an Orchid male Narwi named RusticFlipper (nickname is Flipper). A younger Narwi, a trance male Narwi named DarkestDepths (nicknamed D) helps Bur get the treasure, which turns out to be the only other Omni egg in existance.

prinxess:Of course! But if you want, you could perhaps introduce AuroraGirl's brother, a black male Ahea named Galzzra. He's a bit dim-witted but he's sweet all the same. But you don't have to put him in there if you don't want to. :-) Dragwolf: Ok! :-)

Characters: Magenta Female Ahea named AuroraGirl (nicknamed Aurora), Trance Male Narwi named DarkestDepths (nicknamed DD). These could be the Omni's best friends? Plot: I'm not entirely sure, so you can make it up! :-) But maybe something about the Omni's childhood? Length: Any, as long as it's awesome! :-) Other information: The Omni's name is Bur, so maybe it could first meet it's friends when they find it abandoned with a plant thorn stuck in it's foot? Then AuroraGirl and DarkestDepths could help it and that's how they become friends. But it's okay if you can't do that. :-).Ill go based off what you said here <-------

Finally, the 4,360 word story is done. I hope you like it, Becky! I hope the rest who read it like it too! ;3 Here's the link to the actual story on my writing website: http://aristories.wetpaint.com/page/Bur+the+Omni+II Bur the Omni
By Dragwolf
As the adult omni slid past a willow tree in the centre of the marshlands, he sighed deeply, feeling his chest heave up and down again against his ribcage, as his paws treaded lightly on the muddy terrain that he had grown to love over the past few days. He was barely 80 days old already, and he still had a long way to go. His dark purple velvety fur stuck close to his sides, almost brown from the many times he had visited Atquati, and his snow white paws were also rough as a result of his travels. Although he was blind and almost deaf, he could sense the heat emitted from many animals and creatus from all over, and he had adapted well to his environments rather easily and quickly. The omni reached the banks of the river, where he reclined onto his haunches, gazing and sensing with his mind, the waters where the many creatu of Atquati lived. In it, he could not see his own reflection, but he could sense his own loneliness reflected right back at him.
His name was Bur. He was a rather handsome-looking creatu, with a violet and golden pelt to match. Although he looked rather harmless, his looks were deceiving. He had hurt many creatus with his attitude, and had scarred them on the inside, where their emotions hid. His selfish personality made him an unfriendly creature in the world of Rescreatu, where most creatures dwelled in friendliness and the warmth of their kindness. No, Bur was a different omni. He snarled and snapped at anyone who went near him, and had a very negative personality, due to the fact that he was abandoned at a very young age, and had to survive the harsh wilderness of the Atquatian forests on his own.
Bur muttered to himself in his mind, as he reclined onto his haunches in silence, and let his two front paws hang over the edges of the water. Suddenly, a ripple appeared on the surface of the water. Bur, being an eyeless creatu, could not see the ripples, but he could hear the gentle splashing of the water as it hit the banks of the water, and the unknown creature rose to the surface. The new creatu was magenta in colour, and was in the form of a water dragon. The creature was a magenta ahea, a seldomly seen creatu in the waters and marshes of Atquati. Her kind, smiling face showed as she let her head peer out of the water, at Bur, whom she thought looked majestic, as he was a rare creatu to see in Atquati.
"What do you want." Bur communicated with his mind, as all Omnis did that to communicate with other creatures. His tone was sharp and short, making him sound unfriendly.
The ahea ignored this fact, and replied cheerfully, "Hey there! Are you new here? I haven't seen you before. What's your name? Mine's AuroraGirl, you can call me Aurora for short." She smiled happily towards the newcomer, Bur, and let the rest of her body float up towards the surface, so that the fins along her spinal cord could be seen emerging from the water surface.
Bur huffed, shaking his head. Another optimistic creature. Why is everyone here so optimistic? What is there to be happy about? I just want to be left alone... Bur thought to himself, confused. He frowned, and replied back to AuroraGirl briefly, "My name is none of your business. Now go away." Bur flicked his violet tail parts, and quickly turned his head away from Aurora in an arrogant manner. Aurora frowned as well in disappointment, but she did not give up hope on making a new friend. This could be the only chance she could make a new friend in the vast but enclosed lands and waters of Atquati. The only friend she had was her younger brother, a black ahea named Galzzra, whom she cared for and protected with her life.
"Well.... You looked lonely, so I thought i'd come to cheer you up." Aurora offered, tilting her magenta dial and looking at Bur hopefully. Her lips curled into a slight smile, hoping that Bur would see it and eventually give in to her friendliness. Unfortunately, she did not know that he was blind, and was shocked when Bur retorted, "I wouldn't care, anyway." He rose to his paws, and padded away into the forest with an arrogant snort, his tail held up high in response.
"Gee, I haven't met such an egoistic creatu before..." Aurora's voice trailed off, partly angry at the treatment she received from Bur. Just then, Galzzra, Aurora's brother, popped his head out of the water next to her.
"Who was that, RaRa?" Galzzra asked coolly, his head turned towards the direction Bur walked off in. RaRa was the nickname Galzzra had given Aurora since the day he could talk. A frown appeared on Aurora's face as she turned towards Galzzra.
"How many times have I asked you to not leave the cave?" Aurora asked her brother in a motherly tone, her heart sinking at the disobedience of her brother. She was referring to the underwater cave in which they both lived in, where she knew that he was safe. There were unknown creatus in the murky waters of Atquati, and Aurora would not know what to do if she lost her beloved brother to them.
“Well…. Sorry, I just wanted to see what was happening.” Galzzra replied innocently in his squeaky little voice, his eyes turning watery, as he looked back at Aurora. Aurora sighed and gave in to her younger brother, before diving back into the waters where they lived.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Meanwhile, Bur continued to pad along, his head down, and his pose as if he did not want to talk to anyone at all. He kept a slow and steady pace, with his tail hung low as well, contradictory to the pose he showed to Aurora just before he left her alone by the banks of the river. As he lifted each paw, a slight pang of guilt hit him. Was he too harsh on the ahea? He frowned, trying to keep that thought at bay. The thought kept haunting him constantly, and eventually, his inner conscience kicked in. As soon as he reached the other side of the island, he could not take it anymore, and did a hundred and eighty degree turn, trotting back towards the lake in which the ahea dwelled in. He had to say sorry.
Rushing back towards Aurora's lake, Bur swerved swiftly in between trees, his pawsteps barely audible, and he became a violet blurr to all those who lived in the forest. The overhanging willow trees brushed against his fur as he dashed past, sending a shiver down his spine, and he looked up towards the little patches of sky that could be seen in between the canopies, before returning his line of view to the area in front of him. Trees covered the path in which he took to the lake everyday, but he could sense the magnetic fields of the contours of the earth as he dashed past each landmark. He still had a long way to go.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Aurora swam downwards into the waters of Atquati with her little brother, her hydrodynamically suitable body gracefully overcoming water resistance. Her streamlined body, as well as the many fins on her back, helped her to survive in the dangerous waters. The water was so clear and azure, it was not possible to spot even the smallest movements in it. However, there were many water weeds that fully submerged themselves beneath the surface, and they were a suitable place for predators to wait for their unsuspecting prey to pass. Atquati, a supposed "water world", had the clearest waters in the whole of Rescreatu, and its citizens not only lived on the tiny islands which it beheld, but in the waters as well. In fact, a large fraction of its inhabitants lived underwater, in air domes. The creatu of Atquati frequently visited the air domes, as some of their friends, under the influence of their human owners, lived there.
Just then, a movement caught her eye. Something off-white had swum past her at a very fast rate. Instinctively, she looked back, catching a glimpse of the figure, holding a very small black ob ject. Shaking her head at the rudeness of that creature, she continued swimming, until a few minutes later, when she realised that Galzzra was not at her side. Had he wandered off somewhere and not told her? His favourite site was the banks of the Atquatian waters where she had met Bur, she thought, so she turned and swam calmly towards that direction.
"Galzzra? Where are you?" Aurora's head popped out of the water again as she looked about for her brother, finding it strange that he should disappear like that without telling her. She furrowed her brows, and looked about again, before letting her head submerge back into the water and looking beneath the surface, but to no avail. She breathed out a deep sigh, and let her body float to the surface, trying to think of all the possible places her brother could be in. Closing her eyes, she let her mind continue to wander.
A pitter patter of light pawsteps could be heard after a while, and the sound came nearer to Aurora. She snapped open her eyelids, and looked towards the side in which the banks were. Bur was coming closer to her. Aurora rolled her eyes slightly, and flipped her body, such that her back faced Bur. Oh no, him again, she thought, shaking her apex in disapproval.
"Umm.... Aurora?" Bur's voice formed, shaking, but distinct, in her mind. He sounded uncertain of what he should say.
"Why did you come back?" Aurora asked in a harsh tone, not wanting to even talk to this creature.
"I, uh, well, I just came to get a drink of water." Bur replied, his arrogant nature setting in again, and he snorted, flicking his tail against his hocks.
" Well, then, get your drink and go. I have more pressing things to worry about., like my brother disappearing." Aurora shook her head again, and dove back into the depths of the water.
Bur stood there, not certain of what he should do. Follow her, or live the life of a loner, like he always did? For once, he felt that he needed friends, but his first impression on Aurora had left a scar in Aurora's mind, and prevented her from seeing the good side of him. In fact, no one had ever seen the good side of Bur. The rest of the creatus had not given him a chance. But Aurora had, and Bur had just tossed the chance right back in her face. Now, he regretted it.
Unwillingly, Bur dove after Aurora, following the faint magenta blurr that swam faster than he ever could. As he dove into the cool water, the low temperature hit him briefly and sent a chill down his spine. Even though he could not see how amazing Atquati looked, he could sense the beauty through his four remaining senses. Atquati was like a blurred vision at the back of his mind, a remnant of his memory.
Swimming deeper into the lake, he discovered that Aurora had disappeared into a nearby cave. The seaweed overgrew beside the cave, where a lot of sunlight was present, and they swayed like bent trees in the wind, but with the current of the water. The cave was small, but big enough for at least three creatures to live in. Is this where Aurora lives? Bur wondered, and moved his paws quickly to prevent himself from being swept away by the current. He could talk to her inside the cave.... Or so he thought.
Crash! A sound erupted from inside the cave, and Aurora's ear-piercing scream echoed throughout the water.
"I warned you I would exact my revenge, Aurora. You did not believe me. Look what you have done to me, and now you and your brother will suffer." A rumbling low voice came from the cave, threatening as ever. Bur snapped his head towards the source of the sound, before swiftly swimming in between bunches of overgrown seaweed, afraid of being discovered. Someone was threatening Aurora with the death of her brother. Who was it? Bur's mind raced, while he tried to keep himself from being swept away with the current. Through the seaweed, he spotted a cream ahea come out through the mouth of the cave, his beady black eyes reflecting the hate he had locked inside his heart.
Bur shook with fear. This big male ahea was no match for Aurora. He was much stronger than her, and he could overthrow her in a single blow. Bur had to see if she was alright.
Carefully, Bur swam out of the seaweed, and into the underwater cavern. It looked like a monster had wrecked havoc in it. Rocks, even though they were supposed to be oddly formed, looked as if someone had bitten off chunks of it and spat them out on the floor of the cave. Nothing grew in the cave, nothing at all. The whole cave was a barren hole in an underwater cliff.
"Aurora?" Bur called out softly, not sure how Aurora would react to his presence. Limestone crevices prodded his fur-covered body as he swam through the deep cavern. Eventually, he found Aurora curled up in a corner of the cave, further back from the mouth of her well-known home. She looked like she was in a rather bad shape, and she had large gashes at her side, oozing out blood. Bur gasped in horror at the sight of Aurora's limp form. Her breathing was heavy and out of rhythm. Each breath came in short gasps, and she could not open her eyes. Bur, thanking the heavens that he could not smell as he did not have a nose, closed his eyes immediately. What had Aurora done to aggravate that cream ahea so much?
Bur swam closer to Aurora, holding his breath as he tried not to look away from the injuries that had been inflicted on her. She was in a bad state, too bad for him to handle alone... But there was no one around him to help him take care of her. Just then, he remembered the blessed flower, a rather rare flower that was found in Atquati and Atquati alone. It could heal any wound, and had magical effects on the one who ate it. He had seen it in a secluded area of the forest during his many visits to Atquati, but in order to retrieve the flowers, he had to leave Aurora, and he knew he could not do that- The cream ahea might come back for another attack anytime.
Bur's mind was dizzy with uncertainty, as thoughts and decisions whirled around his mind like a typhoon. He had to take Aurora with him, or she would get hurt again. Bur used his paws to carry Aurora by the scruff of her neck, trying his best not to let go as he swam towards the surface, as her smooth, slippery skin proved to be a problem for gripping. He did not have claws, so that was a problem too. Huffing, he dragged her out of the water, and he could sense the life slipping away from her body- Her breathing began to slow down tremendously, and he knew that her heartbeat was slowing down too. He had to act fast.
"Come on, Aurora... Please don't leave me, don't leave us...." Bur muttered, referring to Galzzra when he said "us", as he dragged Aurora with him to the secluded area, knowing that if he had eyes, they would be blurred with tears by then. Eventually, after a few hours of searching, he found the colourful flora, and picked a few flowers up, before carefully parting Aurora's maw slightly, while dropping them into her mouth. He closed her mouth after placing the flowers inside and inclined her dial towards the sky, to make sure that she ate the flowers. "That's right, Aurora... Eat the flowers. They'll make you feel better." Bur's voice trembled, his heart beating faster and faster as she ate the flowers.
Aurora's breathing suddenly loosened up as the magical flowers took their effect on her, and suddenly, the large wounds and gashes on her derma disappeared. She opened an eye and glanced at Bur briefly. "Wh... Why.....?" Came her weak voice as she struggled to maintain herself. She had many questions to ask Bur.
"Because... I wanted to say sorry, and I wanted to say.... Thank you, for actually giving me a chance, Aurora. I know you might not see me as your friend, but... I'll just ask anyway. Will you be my friend?" Bur tilted his head towards Aurora, his familiar voice filling her mind with happiness.
"Of course, Bur." Aurora curled her lips into a sweet smile, and she looked back at Bur with her soft azure orbs, before drifting off as she was weak from the havoc and chaos that happened that day. Bur padded over to her and dragged her back into the lake, where she felt like home.
++++++++++++++++++++
The following day, Aurora opened her eyes, and found herself floating consciously in her cave, rested upon one of the many protruding rocks in her home. Ugh... My head hurts. What happened? Aurora wondered, trying to recall the previous day's events. Oh... That's right. She immediately looked around the cave for any signs of Bur, but in vain. He was probably doing something more important, Aurora thought to herself. Just then, a violet blur brushed past her.
"Finally awake I see, sleepyhead?" Bur's voice echoed in Aurora's mind, and she chuckled. "We, uh... Still have to find your brother, Aurora..." Bur reminded Aurora, "The cream ahea took him away."
Anger and hate filled Aurora at once, and she blurted out with pure hatred, "Why he... If he ever does anything to Galzzra..." She stuttered and shook with anger such that the muscles on her body stood out and rippled under her derma, unable to finish her sentence.
"Don't worry Aurora, we'll find him... Soon...." Bur trailed off as he looked at the mouth of the cave, his mane and tail flowing freely in the cave with the absence of the current.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"D... Don't hurt me.... Please!" Galzzra whined, cowering in a corner of the cream ahea's cave as he closed his eyes in fear, his body shivering like a leaf in howling winds.
"Oh, don't worry, young one. I won't hurt you. Adamanti will never hurt you." The cream ahea said, a smirk slowly appearing on his visage as he looked at Galzzra's frightened form, and swam closer to Galzzra, cooing as he petted Galzzra's head with his half-eaten fin located at the side of his body.
Adamanti had a sinister look about him. Although he was the same species as Aurora and Galzzra, he was an evil ahea, bent on ruining the lives and relationship between brother and sister. A few months back, Aurora had accidentally knocked into Adamanti as he swam through the waters of Atquati and caused him to be late for a meeting with the most favored villain in Rescreatu, Kir, and he had never forgotten about it. He had to get his revenge, even though it was a minor setback to his plans. Chuckling to himself, he glanced at the little bottle of poisonous dye perched on a rock opposite him in the cave. Indeed, he would get his revenge.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Aurora followed Bur quietly, keeping a steady pace as Bur attempted to use his mind to locate Galzzra. They had been searching for hours, but to no avail. Suddenly, Bur's head frills pricked up- he had found a clue.
"He is close," muttered Bur in Aurora's mind, and he quickened his pace immediately with Aurora following suit, a sense of urgency overwhelming the both of them simultaneously.
As they traveled deeper into the depths, the ground suddenly dropped deep below them, revealing a never-ending abyss. Thankfully, they were swimming, so they would not fall into the abyss easily, and float above its gaping mouth, but then came the bad news- "He's in there...." Bur trailed off, as he could sense the danger that awaited both of them. Even though Bur practically lived in darkness all his life, he had never wandered into unknown territory where weird and mysterious creatures awaited them. Aurora shuddered, her fear radiating like a heater, and Bur could sense it.
"We have to do it." Aurora said, more to herself than to Bur, as she was frightened to bits and the fear overcame her anger towards Adamanti, but it did not overcome the love for her beloved brother. Aurora took a deep breath, and plunged straight into the abyss, with her body perpendicular to the bottom of the abyss, and Bur did the same.
The rock walls of the deep abyss began to become narrow as they neared the bottom, and the light that provided hope and security faded with the coming of the dangers that awaited the two friends. They kept close to each other, not knowing what they would find, and continued to swim deeper, until they finally reached the bottom.
"Well well well... Look who has come, eh Galzzra?" Came a voice from the looming darkness. It was Adamanti. A whine was emitted from somewhere to their left, definitely that of Galzzra's.
A low growl erupted from Bur's right. Was it Adamanti waiting to strike? Bur stiffened his body, waiting for Adamanti to make his first move. Every muscle stood out on Bur's body, as he quickly adjusted his mind to search for the enemy's presence. Adamanti was on his far left. How could it be so?
It was Aurora growling. She was squinting into the darkness in an attempt to see where Adamanti and her brother were, but she could not see anything. All she saw was darkness, and so she was afraid, afraid of the unknown situations that could happen to her. On the other hand, Bur was calm and collective, and fierce only when he needed to be as he could adjust to the darkness well enough.
An evil cackle was heard to their right this time. Adamanti was close, but why was he not doing anything? Suddenly, the whole bottom of the abyss was illuminated with a multi-colored glow; Adamanti had taken out some glowing flowers and placed them on the same rock that the small bottle of poisonous dye.
The impact of the sudden brightness hit Aurora harshly, and she struggled to keep her eyes open as her eyelids attempted to shield themselves against the blinding effect of the glowing flowers. To her left, she caught a glimpse of Galzzra cowering in a corner, evidently unhurt, but obviously frightened. Gasping, Aurora dashed towards her brother, but Adamanti growled, before revealing a merciless smile.
"Ah ah ah, no touching," Adamanti warned Aurora as she got nearer to Galzzra, and swam in front of her. Frustrated at the slow game that Adamanti was playing, Aurora growled back, and swam above him, before descending quickly and taking her brother by the scruff of his neck at lightning speed. Relieved, she swam back to Bur's side, not wanting to let her grip loosen on her brother. As if on cue, Bur pushed off against the solid rock wall with his strong hind legs, and rammed himself straight into Adamanti with full force, knocking him off balance, and both went tumbling towards the other side of the abyss.
In the chaos and confusion, Adamanti took the deadly bottle of dye and attempted to stuff the liquid into Bur's mouth, but with one swipe of a paw, Bur deterred the bottle and it bounced on his paw, flying right into Adamanti's mouth. With a gasp and a choke, Adamanti's eyes began to swell painfully as he struggled to fight the poison that already seeped into his bloodstream.
Squealing, Adamanti rammed into the wall of the other side of his home, his head whizzing as he lost all sanity, his wide, deranged eyes rolling about in their sockets. As he rammed his head against the rough solid wall, he was knocked unconscious. Huffing slightly from the fight, Bur nodded briefly in acknowledgement, before swimming upwards to join Aurora. Adamanti would not threaten Aurora again.
With her heart beating, Aurora immediately swam upwards, where she knew that Adamanti would not be able to follow. He could not stand the light, for even though he had ventured out of his home to snatch Galzzra from her, he rarely ventured out of the boundaries of his home, as he could not stand the light. He was like a vampire, but yet in the form of an ahea. His pigmentation was cream in colour, and even though this was the natural colour for a cream ahea, his skin was slightly lighter than the other cream aheas, as he had evolved to be that way after years and years of living in the darkness. His eyes had grown accustom to the dark, and in fact, the shadows were his friends, the light, his enemy. But of course, she did not know that Adamanti's soul had already perished.
As Bur neared Aurora, his fur splattered with a crimson dye, he huffed, before stating, "Adamanti will never hurt you guys again. I'm sure of it." Bur let out a deep sigh, and looked into the dark abyss, where Adamanti's corpse lay.
"You're safe now, Galzzra..." Aurora whispered into her brother's ear. "No one will ever hurt you again...." She nuzzled her brother's obsidian weak form, and swam home with Bur through the cool, clear waters of Atquati. Indeed, Adamanti would not hurt anyone ever again, for his spirit and soul had perished, along with the little bottle of dye that he had consumed....

DONE!!! It's only 2,215 words, but... Here it is! :D *ti tle coming later* Inside a small, tight cage, two Omni’s huddled together for warmth. It was very chilly in the cage, but the Omni’s were trapped by humans and had no choice but to stay. One day, the Mother did a massive shudder, and out popped a gold and purple egg with a red diamond in the middle, and the mother sighed. The Husband smiled and together they kept the egg warm. About one year later, the egg hatched into a beautiful, male, natural Omni. His first words where “Bur…” And the parents laughed and smiled. They had a name for their child. Bur. But then, the humans came, and did the unthinkable. They rose up two, sharp knives and cut off the ribbons on the Omni, and the Red Gem. The Red Gem was what created the first Omni, and when it was created it had the Red Diamond was on the first Omni’s head. When the Red Gem turns black, the Omni would die. So cutting off the Red Gem meant death for Bur’s family. They died quickly with no pain, which made Bur happy, but he still longed to be wrapped up with them in a cuddle once more. The humans sold their ribbons and Red Gems, which made Bur sick and furious, but then, they did what made Bur burst, and they stuffed his parent’s body with fake stuffing. He couldn’t take it. He used his strong legs to kick the bars into a deformed shape and got out. Bur wasn’t evil, so he didn’t kill any humans, but broke everything he saw. Then he saw a sharp knife lying on the ground, with a little of his parent’s blood on it, the last of his parents. He picked it up, and he ran out into the open, smelling the air for the first time. He was free, at last. Bur twirled around, letting his gold ribbons fly around in the wind. He leaped up, and sent them flying around him in a frenzy of gold. He sang out to the world, “I’m free!” over and over again. Then he rose up on his white legs, and leapt across the green grass, smashing a few flowers into the soft, green foliage. He was having so much fun that he didn’t even notice the gaping mouths and the wide eyes of near people. He simply laughed and began twirling again. Suddenly he tripped and looked up. In front of him, was a crowd of smiling people looking at him with eager eyes. “Do more.” He heard a boy whisper. He looked back at them and sighed. Finally he got up and jumped into the air, and even though he was terrified, he slowly flipped in the air, and landed with a soft thud. People clapped and clapped. That’s when his parent’s kidnappers came out. Bur took off, not trying to dance but couldn’t help but twirling every few minutes. He kept going until he reached the lake, where he stopped and looked around. Finally he sighed and leapt into the lake, where he furiously paddled with his white hind legs. The evil people stared at him in disbelief in their eyes. They shouted a few curses before turning away and stomping back inside. Bur sighed and began to head back to shore, but stopped dead when a pink shape flew in front of him. And to Bur’s surprise a little pink head popped up. It can’t be alive, can it? Bur wondered. But, it was. He knew that when it spoke. “Hello there stranger, I’m AuroraGirl, but you can call me Aurora. Who are you? By the way, you’re a wonderful dancer. I was watching you.” Bur blushed a bit. “I’m Bur. Nice meeting you, but I must go…” Aurora interrupted. “Where are you going? Why are you going? Can I come?” Bur sighed and thought for a minute. “I’m going…” he swallowed before answering. He thought for a second and responded. “I’m…I’m going to Uldavi. Yeah. That’s it. I’m going because I need to get away from…something, and no. You may not come, because Ahea can’t survive on land.” Aurora stared at him and then burst out laughing. “Uldavi, that’s priceless! You must be crazy!” Bur swallowed, realizing how stupid he must sound. “Yeah, I am crazy,” he admitted. “But I honestly have nowhere to go. And if you can find a way to travel out of water, you are welcome to come with me to…wherever.” Aurora smiled a bit. “Well…I do have this.” She lifted up a bottle of odd, slimy green stuff. “What’s that?” Bur asked, disgusted. Aurora spoke softly. “I have the only Uilus morphing potion in all of Rescreatu. So if I drink it, we can go.” Bur smiled. He had a traveling partner. Aurora quickly slurped down the potion, and green sparkles flew around her. Suddenly, a flash of white light lit up the lake. Aurora was a Uilus! They began swimming across the bare, blue lake, when they looked into the depths and screamed. Something was moving! It had shiny pink, yellow and blue spots, a long silver horn, amber eyes, and was pitch black. Aurora knew that shape. It was a Trance Narwi! The Narwi poked his long horn out of the water. “Hi, I’m DarkestDepths, but you can call me DD. Do you need anything?” Aurora shook her head. “No, but if you could give us a map to Uldavi,” Aurora stopped, laughed at bit, and winked at Bur before continuing, “That would be great.” Bur blushed a bit. He found himself slightly crushing on this hyper Ahea. DD looked at them. “Well, I don’t have one of those. But I can give you this map.” He passed a brown piece of paper over to Bur. “It’s a map to the Cave of Wonders, and if you make it to the end of the cave, there is a blue stone which can grant you one wish.” DD winked, “and I think I know what you’re going to wish for. That your parents didn’t die.” His small amber eyes gleamed with a mysterious twinkle for a moment. Bur quietly asked, “How do you-“but DD was gone. Bur quickly unraveled the map. The map first showed a picture of the lake, then a picture of a long, twisting road, then of a deep gorge, of a volcano, and finally a picture of a large black cave. “Well, let’s start off at the road.” Aurora suggested. Bur nodded and they got out of the lake, and stepped onto a dirty, brown path. The path was about five miles long, and after about one mile, both were exhausted. They stopped and rested, and looked up at the starry night sky. Two stars were bigger than the others, side by side. A tear fell down Bur’s white face as he pointed to those two stars. “I hope that’s my mom and dad, Aurora. Some humans killed them.” He shook violently, picturing the humans with the knife held tight in their hands. “I hope their watching me. But soon, I’ll know for sure their watching me, with the help of that blue stone. Well, we should go to sleep now. Goodnight, Aurora.” Aurora looked at him and blinked. “Goodnight.” They woke up at about dawn. Bur and Aurora stretched. They started walking up the long, twisty road when Bur stopped and fell to the ground. Aurora rushed over. “What happened?” She asked. “I-I-I have a Burr stuck in my foot!” Aurora quickly yanked it out and they walked on silently for about an hour until they came across a steep drop. A bug suddenly flew in Bur’s eye and Bur took a large step back and fell over the side. Aurora spread out her wings and jumped down, picking up Bur, and racing back to the top. They looked at each other lovingly for about five minutes and then Bur spoke. “Thanks, for saving me back there.” Aurora nodded and picked him up again, and carried him to the other side of the gorge. Aurora dropped him on the other side and they walked for about an hour until they came to a big, rocky mountain with little steam rising from the top. The two set off, heading for the top. When they got there, red hot lava was gurgling and sputtering at the bottom. “Don’t drop me.” Bur teased. “I won’t.” Aurora promised. They flew safely across and went down the side, back on to yet another dirty, brown road. This road stretched on, and on, and on…until they reached a big black cave. Bur ran ahead and tried to run inside, but Aurora held him back. “We have to rest.” She told him quietly, “alright.” Bur muttered. They curled up together under the stars, and dozed off. Bur woke up early and prodded Aurora in the stomach. “Wake up!” He screamed. Aurora raised her head and they went into the cave. It was dark, slimy, and foul smelling. As they traveled onward, Aurora stopped and looked at Bur in the dim light. “I like you, Bur, I really do. Do you like me?” Bur swallowed, and then answered. “Yes, yes I do.” They walked on in silence until they reached a large cavern, where a masked figure was standing, holding the blue stone in his ghostly hands. “So, you’ve come for the Sapphire Of Wishes, eh? Well you’re not getting it!” He shrieked. He spun around and his face was visible. He was black with dark golden eyes, long purple horns, two large scars over his eyes, a stitched mouth, and a thick black cloak covering his ghostly body. A black Jaaku! Bur leaped, so did Aurora, but the Jaaku slid over as if he’s been doing this for years. He thrust out his ghostly hands and a mysterious glow appeared, formed into a ball, and hit the two, knocking them out, and the world went black. When they opened their eyes, the Jaaku was standing before them, an evil smirk on his face. “Do you want to challenge me again?” He asked. “Yes.” Bur said confidently. Suddenly, he grabbed the knife that was hidden in his rack of ribbons atop his head, and jabbed the Jaaku, who fell down. He was unconscious, but not dead. Bur quickly grabbed the gem and closed his eyes, picking his words carefully. I wish my parents were never killed, and are right by my side right now. A magical sparkle floated around the room, and his parents were next to him in a heartbeat. “Mom, Dad…” They were smiling, and soon they were all hugging, even Aurora. “Who’s that Uilus?” Bur’s Mom asked. “Actually, I’m a Ahea, I just had a Uilis morphing potion which I used so I could come with Bur to get the Sapphire Of Wishes,” she shook Bur’s parent’s hands, “nice to meet you.” Then they all sat down and told the story of their adventure. Bur’s Mom tossed a Blessed Flower over to the Jaaku, and they all ran out in a heartbeat, in case the Jaaku wanted revenge for taking the Sapphire Of Wishes. After a three night travel, they managed to get back to the lake. When they got there, Aurora looked at him, a sad gaze in her eyes. “I guess this is goodbye.” She said, blinking away tears. Slowly Bur leaned forward, and Bur’s eyes widened in surprise. It only lasted for a few seconds, but Bur wanted it to go on forever. Aurora turned around and leaped into the water, her legs becoming flippers and her wings dissolved. She gave one last final sad gaze at Bur, then swam off. “Wait!” Bur’s Mom called. Aurora turned around and went back to shore. “Yes?” She said questioningly. “We have an idea.” She looked at Bur’s Dad. “We have a plan.” The three of them worked and worked until they had a neat, but large, pile of wood sitting on the shore. After much work and time, they made a small hut on the shore of the lake. “We are going to live here, and then Bur can visit Aurora whenever he wants.” Bur’s Mom said sweetly. Bur leaped into the water and they hugged. Every morning Bur leaped into the water and they talked and played until Sunset, and then Bur went to bed, and it started all over again. One morning Bur brought his parents outside with him, and he cleared his throat and spoke. “Aurora, the more I think about us being apart, the more I want us to be together. Will you, marry me?” Aurora smiled, and cried tears of joy. But suddenly her face dropped. “But, you can’t live on water, and I can’t live on land, how…” Suddenly a cloud of sparkles whirled around her, and legs formed where her flippers used to be. She stepped out of the water, clearly shocked. They hugged and hugged, and then lied down on the shore, side-by-side, looking up at the stars. They pointed at stars, seeing the constellations. To Bur’s surprise, the two big stars weren’t there anymore. “They really must have been watching over me.” Bur murmured. They slowly closed their eyes and dozed off, and darkness took over. The end.
