SUE: Sunlight and Sound
They are so very scared. Even as they hold onto each other as they fall.
Down.
“Wait!”
“I’m waiting.”
“Why are you here?”
“Just because.”
Down.
“If you can’t show me your face could I at l I know your name?”
“…Garrett.”
DOWN.
“I’ll fall for her.”
-----
Just before she was tempted into the darkness, she remembered him. A mirage. A figment of her dreams. The wind. He was like the wind; the slivers of wind that brushes against your face before vanishing with the sudden slam of reality. Only appearing in her dreams, waking frustrated her and night brought her a strange relief.
She was the sole daughter of an underground overlord and since she was young, she had no childhood. Other children avoided her and she rarely was able to remain in a single place for more than a few months. She was rebellious, fierce and cruel.
But he reminded her of the nights; when she would drive to the break of dawn for no reason at all but to feel the cool of the wind run through her long black hair. He reminded her of the peace that came and his tender voice made her feel small, a child even. But even he could not save her. Seduced by revenge and power she followed the devil and his temptations. In the end it was too late to stop her.
Now she is running for her life. Her parents recoil from her. A child still cold with death running from the world. She is scared and no longer knows where to go or what to do. So frighten was she that she did not even see the cliff in front of her until it was too late. She slipped and fell down it, screaming with fright there was nothing to hold on to. Until he came, reaching out for her and taking her into her arms. They held onto each other even as they fell.
The immediate thought Marilyn remembered was that they fell and now lying at the bottom of the cliff she found herself engulfed in the large arms of a man. She gasped as he stirred and pulled herself away, staring at the figure before her.
“G-Garrett?”
His golden hair was matted with dirt and rain and lying on the ground, he opened his eyes and grinned. His eyes were such a beautiful blue colour. He turned to his side and he could see the bloody gashes the rocks had torn down his back,; his once white wings were stained with blood and filth and the sight of the ruined wings made her want to cry. He smiled feebly, “yes?”
“S-so you have been…” her eyes darted to his sides as he struggled to sit up, “Oh God! A-are you alright?!” she immediately went over to help him and brought his arm over her shoulder, “Oh God, oh god… this wasn’t supposed to happen…” She settled him against the cliff side, “This wasn’t supposed to happen at all!” tears sprung to her eyes, her mind at the verge of hysteria. It was so cold and painful. The bite of death still hung on her very existence and she remembered every detail of the event, the chase, the people she called her parents, the revulsion. She looked at her white hands and at the dirt and dried blood beneath her nails. She suddenly felt herself being pulled towards Garrett’s body and engulfed in his embrace. He buried his face into her black hair, breathing in the ghostly scent of her life, “it doesn’t matter anymore. It happened.”
Soothed by his presence, she leaned against his body.
“I didn’t want this. I wanted…I want to d-” she remembered th fangs as they dug into her skin, her face burrowed into his embrace, “I’m scared. I’m so scared, Garrett.”
He didn’t reply and instead held her tighter. It was so cold and the rain kept falling, the raindrops pierced their skin like ice. But there was no warmth between them; she was devoid of any human warmth and he was weak with the pain of the fall. Two animals could huddle for warmth but they are no longer animals. And so they hold onto each other knowing that no one else could warm them otherwise.
“Garrett…”
“Shhh…” he whispered, “listen.”
She did; and suddenly she noticed the last lone drops of the rain slowly fade to silence. Shafts of light streamed through the thick grey clouds and she could not help but admire the gentle glow as it caressed her skin. It was so warm. She looked up at Garrett who was gazing at the sky with the same amount of admiration; he turned to her and smiled. He was so beautiful. So pure.
“That’s the sound of life. Our life.”

A/N: You can tell I got lazy at the beginning. I'll probably remove this later but meh. IT HAS ANGELS AND VAMPIRES OMG. WILL YOU GUYS READ NO-*shot*
This is basically the story of how the parents of my Mary Sue met (I will never be able to explain how she was conceived though) |D Somehow even if this was suppose to be a parody it inspired what was perhaps the sappiest romance story (and might I mention include half the elements I don't like to write about) I'd ever make.Unfortunately I failed at doing them any justice whatsoever xD
