Chapter One: A routine job?
In the world of Pokemon, there were Exploration Teams;Pokemon that teamed up to explore the unexplored regions of the world and bring all criminals to justice. And among these Exploration Teams was the famous Team Hurricane. Team Hurricane never gave up once they had a goal set on their mind, and had a 100% success rate. If a Pokemon had a problem, Team Hurricane would always be there to help.
The leader of Team Hurricane was the Empoleon, Aqua. She was intelligent, caring and had power to spare. She was of a Modest nature and she also had a soft-spot for children.
The second member of Team Hurricane was Aurae the Lucario. He was determined and had a strong sense for justice. He was great at catching up to criminals. He was of a Calm nature and his ability was Justified.
The third member of the team was KaBOOM, the Kabutops. He was speedy, quick-thinking and eager in battle. He was of an Adamant nature, and was the team's most powerful Pokemon when it came to physical attack power.
The fourth Pokemon in the team was Meganium, but she often insisted on being called 'Mama'. She was the team's healer and she carried their bag, to hold any items they found. She was of a Gentle nature and she concentrated on helping others rather than herself.
On one particular day, Team Hurricane was on a routine job; a Gardevoir had asked Team Hurricane to find her two children on Mt. Windsong, and of course Aqua had accepted the job right away.
"The children should be near the summit." Aqua said as the team advanced.
"I wonder how they got so far up..." Mama Meganium said, worriedly.
"Don't worry." Aurae said, assuringly. "We'll find them and take them back to their parents." At that moment, they turned a corner. There was a young Ralts, lying injured on the ground. A Kirlia was using Protect in front of it, while a little farther away, a Scyther was launching a vicious barrage of Fury Cutter attacks. Before anyone could do anything, Mama Meganium had rushed forward and used Solar Beam, knocking the Scyther back. When the bug-type stood up, the group noticed that it's eyes were glowing an unnatural red. It hissed at the exploration team.
"I thought you'd ssssshow up eventually....." the Scyther hissed, in a somewhat strained, male voice.
"Who are you?" KaBOOM demanded, drawing a laugh from the Scyther.
"That'ssss not worth knowing...not yet, at leassssst." they sneered.
"How DARE you attack these poor children!" Mama Meganium yelled, angrily. Scyther grinned.
"They came here looking for Dawn Ssssstonessssss....." they drawled. "But I took them firssssst. Sssssservessss them right..." Mama Meganium became totally enraged at this, launching another Solar Beam attack. This time the Scyther dodged and flew off, laughing. The young injured Ralts groaned and it's Kirlia sibling collapsed to her knees in exhaustion.
"Come on. We'd better get these two to their folks." Aurae said. Mama Meganium took the two children on her back and they began to slowly walk back down the mountain, not knowingf that something behind them was watching them go...
"Oh, thank you so much, Team Hurricane!" a grateful Gardevoir said later on. Her children had been returned to her and healed. "How can I ever thank you enough?"
"Come on, it was nothing, really..." KaBOOM said, faking modesty.
"No, I have to repay you somehow." Gardevoir said, thinking for a moment. "Ah, I know! Here, take this." She handed them a box. Inside was a variety of rare healing herbs.
"Thanks, miss." Aurae said, handing the box to Mama Meganium.
"I've just remembered..." the Gardevoir said. "Apparently, that Scyther and several other evil Pokemon have been spotted around this area, and particularly at Mt Windsong. Could they be searching for something?"
"That IS a mystery..." Aqua muttered.
"And there was something else, too..." Gardevoir said. "They all have glowing red eyes...and speak with the exact same amle voice, which is impossible for some. I mean, I even saw a Frosslass, an all-female species, speak with this voice for myself. Could they be under control of someone else?"
"No idea." KaBOOM said, bluntly, prompting a nudge from Aurae.
"Well, I'm sre that if anyone can find out about this, it's Team Hurricane!" Gardevoir laughed. "I shall let you know should I hear of any more of the evil Pokemon."
"Thanks, miss." Aqua said, nodding politely as she and the rest of her team left.
"Sounds like an awesome adventure, huh?" KaBOOM asked, excitedly.
"Indeed." Aqua said. She looked up and saw, high above, a shadow. A very small one, like something flying impossibly high up in the sky. Was it Scyther? No, couldn't have been. It was the wrong shape...and seemed a little larger...
"LOOK OUT!" Aurae suddenly cried, knocking Aqua down. Just as he did so, a Flamethrower attack hit the ground exactly where Aqua would have been standing.
"Darn...I misssssssed..." a voice hissed. They all looked up t5o see a Shiny Charizard flying down at great speed at them...an unnatural red glow in it's eyes.
"Here we go again..." KaBOOM muttered.
