Of course being as this Meiko is very young she has not yet learned how to fight. The Meiko beleives that if she had claws, she would actually stand a chance in fights. Of course all of the competition take that as a lame excuse from a wimpy Meiko. The fantasy swirled through her head and gave her hope, the idea of having claws, being what she was meant to be, having the largest territory of all of the Meiko. Of course no one other than herself think this fantasy will ever come true. They all laugh and tease her when she suggests the fantasy that builds more and more every day inside of her confusing mind.
Even though the Meiko was glad to be away from these scornful remarks, she was feeling rather lonely, a feeling she would have to get used to. Starting out into the lonely, rocky deserts of Reiflem leave their mark in a Meiko's soul, and almost all of the Meikos get used to it. On the other hand, there are always a select few Meiko who never get used to it, they yearn for company. The thought of being alone sickens them. All of these Meiko are considered badly raised, that their mother didn't give them the boot soon enough. These Meiko always attempt to go back to their mother, hanging their head in shame, begging to be accepted again. Those Meiko don't last a day.
This Meiko did not want that life. Even though the loneliness was almost painful, the pain of having to return to her mother, and being surrounded with that shame would mean never getting accepted into society, and there would be no way after that you would have any chance of getting a mate. The Meiko just sat there, cloaked in her hopes and dreams, imagining the future, imagining the look on her scornful mother's face when her daughter becomes something great. This stargazing Meiko's name is Daruli.
