Maya could feel the tips of the evilly sharp fangs as they brushed the jagged wound, suddenly Rigol stopped, his eyes widening in shocked surprised. Maya looked slowly down at the gap between the vampire and her and saw a blood covered fist stocking through a gaping hole in his chest. A low voice snarled in the Rigol’s ear,
“Damn, missed.” Rigol let a roar of pained anger out as the fist was yanked out of the wound, leaving the gaping wound with rich, red blood spurting out from it, he went to turn to face whatever had punched the hole it his chest, but was thrown forward, just missing Maya as the fist went through his back, broke his rib cage and punched his heart clear out of his chest. Rigol fell too the ground in a broken, bloodied mess as the fist was withdrawn. Maya looked across into the mirror like eyes of Serin in pure shock. His shirt was ripped to shreds where the stake had entered into him, but the white skin beneath was unmarked, it was perfectly white over the smooth muscles of his chest, Maya gasped half relieved and half terrified,
“I…. I thought…..” Serins bloodless lips twitched into a mirthless smile,
“He missed, I thought I would make sure he did not get another opportunity,” he growled, his mirror like eyes went to the rich, red blood streaming out of Maya’s slashed arm and they narrowed slightly, Maya swallowed, the smell of the warm, fresh blood must have been driving both vampires insane, she realised it could well be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire. Serin took his shredded shirt off, his muscles rippling under his eerily white skin, he walked silently too where Maya was tied, he took her bloodied arm in his hands and brought it up to his face, he inhaled the intoxicating smell of the fresh blood, then his fangs flashed as he let a low snarl escape him and almost before Maya knew what was happening he had the jagged wound bandaged with the remains of his shirt. Serin let her arm go and took the rope with one hand, it snapped instantly as he pulled it with no effort, then his mirror like eyes went to her face, Maya stood frozen to the spot, not knowing what he would do next, they where only inches apart, she could feel the ice coolness of his skin on her warm skin. Serins pale, even lips twitched slightly, he nodded once towards the door and growled,
“Do you want to leave, or would you like to bring the rest of Rigol’s clan down here with the smell of your life blood?” Maya felt relief burn through her veins as she realised Serin was not going to bite her, she managed to find her voice as her shock wore off and the pain in her arm burned viciously, she asked him quietly, only too well aware of how close they were,
“Do you even know the way out?” Serin turned and walked fluidly towards the door, not bothering to see if Maya was following him.
