If I had the choice of choosing
what jewel that I could have

Of  all the most precious ones,
that are so bright and fair.

Would I choose the ruby,
so awesome and so red?

Or would I choose the emerald,
its green fire blazing bright?

Or would I choose a diamond,
so strong and flashing light?

I would not choose any of these,
though they all be fair...

The only one I know I'd
choose is the beautiful
Pearl of Great Price!
