I look out my window,

I see rolling green hills,

The bright blue sky,

And time seems to slow,

I wait by the door,

Hoping to see,

My dear friends,

Perhaps family,

Yet no matter how long,

Even should I beg,

My family won’t come,

Like I did something wrong,

Yet I know why it’s so,

Deep down in my heart,

To my eternal woe,

I cannot be repaired,

I have such an illness,

It spreads through my body,

It made me pure stillness,

It captured my soul,

My family won’t come,

To spare them the tears,

They’re hearts are numb,

So filled with fear,

I look out my window,

As I fade away,

The Eagle

Wings stretched out,

Soaring so high,

My mind holds no doubt,

In this peaceful blue sky,

I feel so utterly free,

Not held in a cage,

Where none hear my plea,

My unending rage,

My feathers are caught,

By the cool spring breeze,

I think pleasant thoughts,

As I fly over the sea,
