I only just registered and began playing earlier today. I just noticed while Exploring the site, I am getting ridiculous amounts of eggs? I feel like every time I click I stumble upon a new egg. Are these supposed to be this common?

Yes, if you go to the information tab and click on creatu species, it shows how common or rare it is to find an egg. Some eggs are more rare than others!
