I say there should be a definite pattern for each Creatu. Like how you can't have a Meiko with its spots and rings anywhere other than on its legs and tailtip. Having multiple patterns would just be too much. o_o

And it would probably make the most sense to have albinos be the only Creatu you can splotch up. It could help them maintain their value in a way, and it'd make more sense than the pet somehow turning white when you dye it. xD

Guys, I am talking about one design. White with colored spots. It's not that complicated.
