Ocean sunfish facts from sites The real ocean sunfish is the type species of its family, Molidae. It can be found all over the world in temperate or tropical seas. It is huge, being up to 3.2 meters tall and weighing over one metric ton. It is the heaviest known bony fish. They are gentle giants and are very curious. Their brain is the size of a nut. When resting the ocean sunfish will lay down on its side just below the ocean's surface, looking like it is dead. Their diet consistes of mostly jellyfish, and sadly, many ocean sunfish die when they choke on plastic bags that look like jellyfish. Ocean sunfish are unable to fully close their mouths. Ocean sunfish are often victims of skin parasites, and they will invite small fish and even birds to clean their skin. The ocean sunfish, Mola mola, or common mola, is the heaviest known tle="Osteichthyes">bony fish in the world. It has an average adult weight of 1,000 kg (2,200 lb).Sunfish live on a diet that consists mainly of tle="Jellyfish">jellyfish, but because this diet is nutritionally poor, they consume large amounts in order to develop and maintain their great bulk. Females of the species can produce more tle="Egg (biology)">eggs than any other known tle="Vertebrate">vertebrate.[1]Sunfish tle="Fry (biology)" class="mw-redirect">fry resemble miniature tle="Pufferfish" class="mw-redirect">pufferfish, with large pectoral fins, a tail fin and body spines uncharacteristic of adult sunfish.Adult sunfish range from brown to silvery-gray or white, with a variety of mottled skin patterns; some of these patterns may be region-specific.[1] Colouration is often darker on the dorsal surface, fading to a lighter shade ventrally as a form of counter-shading camouflage. Mola mola also exhibits the ability to vary skin colouration from light to dark, especially when under attack.[1] The skin, which contains large amounts of reticulated collagen, can be up to 3 in (7.6 cm) thick on the ventral surface, and is covered by denticles and a la yer of tle="Mucus">mucus instead of tle="Scale (zoology)" class="mw-redirect">scales. The skin on the clavus is smoother than that on the body, where it can be as rough as sandpaper.[11] Sea Cucumber Facts From Sites Sea cucumbers communicate with each other by sending hormone signals through the water. A variety of fish, most commonly tle="Pearl fish" class="mw-redirect">pearl fish, have evolved atle="Commensalism">commensalistic symbiotic relationship with sea cucumbers in which the pearl fish will live in sea cucumber's cloaca using it for protection from predation, a source of food (the nutrients passing in and out of the anus from the water), and to develop into their adult stage of life. Manytle="Polychaete">polychaete worms and tle="Crab">crabs have also specialized to use the cloacal respiratory trees for protection by living inside the sea cucumber.[9]Sea cucumbers are typically 10 to 30 centimetres (3.9 to 12 in) in length, although the smallest known species is just 3 millimetres (0.12 in) long, and the largest can reach 1 metre (3.3 ft). The body ranges from almost spherical to worm-like, and lacks the arms found in many other echinoderms, such as tle="Starfish">starfish. The anterior end of the animal, containing the mouth, corresponds to the oral pole of other echinoderms (which, in most cases, is the underside), while the posterior end, containing the anus, corresponds to the aboral pole. Thus, compared with other echinoderms, sea cucumbers can be said to be lying on their side.[10]A remarkable feature of these animals is the catch collagen[Notes 1] that forms their body wall. This can be loosened and tightened at will, and if the animal wants to squeeze through a small gap, it can essentially liquefy its body and pour into the space. To keep itself safe in these crevices and cracks, the sea cucumber hooks up all its collagen fibres to make its body firm again.[2] Wow.I Cannot Wait For A Drawing.I Am so Happy You Like It Especially Beacuse Your Staff!I Am Happy

I dunno if I support this or not... Personally, I don't think that ocean sunfish and sea cucumbers would go together very well. xD In my imagination, I imagine this gruesome creature that poops a lot. owo I have no opinion whether I support or not yet. It's very creative though, and maybe if some really good artists worked on it, there could be something that has a "rescreatu" style and is pretty cute. I dunno...

Remember rescreatu creatu don't always revolve around 'cute'. I've got mixed opinions on this too, so I don't know.

I would work on it if I could get my hands on the computer, but the idea is a bit too vague. What do you want, a sunfish with see-through fins? hmm.. I'll see if I can work on a quick sketch. Will edit this post once I do.
