Alerts When Bought

Whenever an egg is bought from the egg marketplace, you get an alert that it was bought. I would like to be able to toggle this option. I would also like an alert when something is bought from my merchant shop, but you can still toggle the option.

I think a toggle on this would be nice. I don't always care but if I do I could always turn it on and otherwise it wouldn't spam up my alerts (on those rare occasions when I sell eggs). I also see no reason not to have merchant and rancher shops have that option. For those that have lots of items/pets in their shops and don't want alerts, just toggle off. I certainly wouldn't support these alerts without a toggle but with one I see only good coming out of it :)

tl;dr: support with options to toggle both :)

Support! I'd like alerts in the areas of the site where you're not immediately there for the event, like selling something in a shop or someone winning your auction. A toggle would definitely be necessary though.

My only concern with this is the confusion that would result when someone does not understand why they suddenly have more TU on hand.

A partial solution to this though would be to enable a logging area in the egg market in which you can see the eggs that have been sold, similar to rancher and merchant shop logs, making it standard to view sales in that area. Then the option to toggle alerts could be applied to the egg market, rancher shop, and/or merchant shop. If we go that route though, should we just give the egg market a till area?

I totally support adding alerts for the areas of the site that don't currently have them--ie. selling a pet in your rancher shop, winning an auction, etc. I'm not in the habit of checking, for example, my rancher shop till, so I don't find out till long after I've sold a pet that I have, in fact, sold one. Having alerts for that would make life much easier.

As far as toggling, I do agree that there should be a way to stop the alerts bar from coming up for the egg market, rancher shop, merchant shop, etc., but also understand that could cause confusion regarding the origin of the tu. Maybe it could be made so that if a user turns off those alerts, the alert bar doesn't come up for those types of unread alerts, but they're displayed in the alerts page as activity, or something like that?
