Players have suggested this idea time and time again. Most staff support the concept of it. The problem comes with actually writing up the policy. If we did anything with items and pets for banned accounts we would just delete them. Uwi put it well: the general public should not reap the goods the account used to have just because they lost it. If an item disappears from the game than it disappears from the game. It shouldn't make a difference since it was locked away from the public on another account in the first place. Fantasybeing, your bumps are getting kind of spammy, especially because this has not droped that low on the page.

I am 100% against putting the items in the trash. I'd rather have auctions and contests that everyone can participate in and offer the item(s) as a reward rather than just dumping them in the garbage for everyone to scramble over. What a waste. The items could be used to create a buzz for activity. I do support having the items put back into circulation, though. It would be a great idea. And as for the pets, just take them out of showrooms/Rancher shops and put them on the profile. Selling the creatu could be seen as... insensitive. Although the banned user doesn't really deserve much thought since they did break the rules, but still. Allowing the names to be recycled would be fine in my opinion.

I support the idea of clearing out the pets on a permanently banned account. I don't support the idea of wiping a non banned account. If somebody comes back after a year and sees all their hard work down the toilet? It's not fair to a user that did nothing wrong.

there was glitches in v1? probblem with pets, i found a banned account with 2 albino omnis and an albino kioka. I think people need to pay for these pets to obtain them, so rare beauties stay rare.

I say a solution for the "wrongfully banned" thing would be this: Since it would only take you up to a few months to recover an account after being wrongfully banned, the pets from the banned account would remain on that account until after a certain amount of months. This way they have time to recover the account if it was an accident, and if it wasn't the pets would still be released. I support this, kind of because I started a thread sort of about it (it was different but morphed into this topic) a little while back. Since the topic ended up changing almost completely, people kind of dropped it.... So I thank you for bringing it to the public's attention again :D

A cheater's items devalue every honestly earned item in the game. An albino omni gained by cheating brings down the value of every other albino omni in the game. Same goes for all items.
Cheating in the game hurts everyone else in the game via the market. This is the main reason why a cheater's items should not be allowed to re-circulate. But I am all for pets dying and the names being freed up.

i have seen this said a few times but here is what i think personally. i signed up back in 2009 but my laptop died and it took until this summer 2010, to get it fixed. i found i had an account here, and got back to playing. now i would have been pretty upset having my stuff gone for not being here playing actively. as for banned folks. permant bans stuff and pets should be auctioned off by the staff they get the tu and what not; to keep the site going, and the players get to enjoy stuff that was getting dusty. :) the accidently banned and short term bans shouldn't be punished unless they do something to make it a perminante banning. my opinions of course. take care everyone, sincerely, vhdcat24

What if they were banned forever, but then it was an accident of the staff's and they rmail the staff and the staff unban them? :o Also, I don't really support. Even if I'm banned, I still have my pride. D: I know my pets are still there and the public will envy me. >:D Well, you get what I mean...

The banned account should be given a certain amount of time to rebuttle the ban. Then, after that time has expired, the pets and items should be deleted so that the names can be used again. There is nothing more annoying than finding a good name put on a pet that is part of a banned acount. The accounts that are inactive for a while should be left alone. BUT, if they are inactive for say, at least 3 years, then that account should either be wiped(if there isn't much to it ex: a couple newly hatched pets with nothing on the profile or in either shop), or monitored for a year more at most before any action is taken. But in the end, there are quite a lot of inactive accounts, so it will be hard for staff to actually control this matter. More hiring maybe? :D

I say absolutely not, under no circumstances should we take what is not rightfully ours. You don't just go raid a dead person's house because they are dead. These are not our things and they are not ours to feel entitled to. Things are going to become impossible to find, and that is what gives things value, their rarity. Even if we were to buy them it still means we are taking what might not have been sold. So I really don't support this idea.

Have credit shop estate auctions :P That way the site profits from people who get banned xD No, but in all seriousness, as much as I wish we could put everyone's items back into circulation, I don't see it happening.

I believe that if the account is PERMANTLY banned, only then should all of the pets (Showroom, profile, rancher) be sent directly to the graveyard. Personally, I think items should remain on the account. It seems like others will "Use" the banned user's account if all of their items are sent to the trash. Many names are left unobtainable when a user is banned. Once the pets are in the graveyard, after a certain amount of time, the names will become available. Which is always a plus for some users who are seeking dream names, and are left heartbroken when they find that their name belongs to a banned user's account. For the most part, I agree with most on the thread.

If someone is permanently banned, it wont matter if they "love" their pets. they got banned, and that's more of their fault. I seriously don't think staff ban by accident. I'm pretty sure some users purposely get banned because they think its funny. I like the idea for names being obtainable again from banned accounts. But putting rare stuff in the trash is not deserving, no one should get free rare items from banned users just because their banned. actions seem suitable, but the price should have a minim bid. with pets, putting them in the graveyard seems to do the trick of erasing their names. But, auctioning names has to be made into a system first. I know this sounds confusing.
