Hardly the first time someone has suggested a Botanist Quest prize being a new creatu or suggested a plant creatu, but I figured I'd throw in my suggestion for the species. I always imagined it being a Venus Flytrap, and I can't remember if someone else shared that idea but it's always seemed like a good idea.
I can't imagine any other plant managing to pull off being as awesome sentient as a Venus Flytrap.
I also really liked Carnivine from the Pokemon series and would love to see Res's interpretation from the same concept. xD

Ahh, okay. I couldn't remember if someone did or not. Zuzu just told me to post this when I posted about it in the SB. xD
Figured if people keep pushing for it, it'll happen.
Since the other one is locked, I'll still leave this open for discussion purposes though, I guess.

If the other thread is locked then there is no problem with reopening the discussion on this. Really, we don't just need a whole heap of people saying support, that doesn't really make much difference. If the staff like a good idea they will put it into use. What we really need is help fleshing out an idea. The artists always appreciate ideas towards new creatu designs, it is good to have something to work from that you know will be appreciated by the users.
I think that Pokemon is a good reference for how sentient plants can work. And I am fond of all the sentient Venus flytraps that I have encountered through classic video games (Mario, Crash Bandicoot).
If anyone can think of anything unique that we could have to set a Venus fly trap pet, or any plant based pet, apart from the plant based Pokemon and such that would be good. Something original and cool.

Yeah no kidding. xD I did a search and this is the third suggestion thread to mention a Venus Flytrap. One of seven to suggest just a Plant Creatu in general. And the... fourth I think, to specifically say the Botanist quest needs a creatu, and most of those mentioned it being a plant.
