Writers are on a very loose workload. You work for a month and are paid for how much you complete during that time. You can write stories at any time and put them up, have them looked over by other writers and then put into novels. The only time you are pushed is when there are new events and things happening, and there is more input/ideas/deions expected. If anything, it's not strict at all and 5+ hours is more than enough. |

Sounds like a good work setup. o_o I'd be in competition with some of the better writers of rescreatu. I think I'll apply anyways, it would be nice to fill in some of those empty books I keep reading, if I can make it.

I never think of it as a competition, lol, but more a way to improve if you don't think you are as good as some others. We are pretty much desperate, in a sense, for writers, so the more applications the better. You never know; I seriously doubted myself when I applied. I also look back at the work/examples I submitted when I apply and I gag. xD |

I loved this contest; I don't write but I just like things that promote creativity. Pretty sweet having your work recognised like this don't you think? :D I also think we should have an item designing contest, y'know make an item graphic so that it can be made into a real item. The contestants shouldn't be given the privelage of desgning items that require extra coding (like pizza launchers and stuff). Just toys and food I suppose. Or maybe we should have a clothe designing contests, when we have the human avatars up and running it would be awesome to have a contest to make a clothing item don't you think? It also gives people a chance to work with other people and have more experience in meeting demands for companies (yes, res is sorta like a company) like this doncha think? :)

I agree, and support this, but have no room in my profile sig. I joined in time to write a book for the last contest, but the Hack/Crash broke it all. That contest never was judged. I've also written a book for How to Hatch a Tesuri, but never heard anything from staff.

I think when we open it up again we should have several categories, like narrative, deive and poetry or something.It'd be fun and sort of encourage people to step out of their comfort zone.

I think we should have comeptitions that promote creativity in general. I'll be a horrid little cynic writing on Res has become so very poor and unless anyone can persuade me otherwise, this is what I think. I'd like it if there were MORE people on Res who write for the sake of it rather than for profitable reasons (not money-wise mind you) but meh. This is why we need these contests as incentive I suppose. Same with any other art forms.Again shall say I'm not a good writer so you may disregard everything I said |D As Ping said, I'd support this if the themes or categories, whatever pushes people out of their comfort zones of vampires and wolves. It's fun when we do hard things me thinks c: If Uwi or any other staff member is able to persuade Pat to do so then whoo! I'll put the support banner...somewhere |D |

I'm working on bringing PAB back. It's something we definitely want to see happen if we can. We just don't have enough writers to pull it off at the second, but we're getting there.
