if this has already come up, i am sorry but i did not see it posted anywhere.

a friend explained to me that Res used to have an option to put eggs into merchant shops and also used to be a good source of income. i think it would be great to see that option re-implemented. not only does having this feature make it quite a bit easier to sell eggs, but from the sounds of how well it used to work it might make the TU circulation in Res stronger.

i joined Res after this option was taken out the first time. i tend to be a merchant/business-type player on most games. it is a hobby i enjoy, and personally i would enjoy Res alot more if this were re-implemented.

I support this completely, personally I am sure others have thought or maybe even asked about this. I have been on res before the change of this for a while and came back not too long ago, and I understand the change, however I wish it was optional whether or not to let them spoil for mutants. Personally i only find maybe 1-2 mutants decent looking and the rest I wouldn't want even if I was paid for them. I am a true merchant and eggs are hard to sell through forums and trade is pretty much useless for this as they spoil there as well. So.. I support 100%

The stocking egg feature was removed with V3 due to problems with the Spoiling Egg system. It's also why we can't store eggs in our Storage anymore.

I don't know if Staff plans to re-implement it any time soon, but I see no reason as to why they shouldn't if they take the time to fix the coding.

So ultimately, support. (Quite honestly, I hate having to trade with people directly when buying eggs. xD)

thanks for the support! :D and yes, that is what i had in mind. i understand why it was taken off because of eggs being spoiled for the creation of mutants, but i also believe with a little tweaking of the coding both options should be fairly doable and make many Res players happy.

as you can see by my forum signature i run an egg selling business. it takes quite a bit longer for me to tle="Powered by Text-Enhance" id="_GPLITA_0" style="text-decoration:underline" href="#" in_rurl="http://www.textsrv.com/click?v=VVM6MTM1NjM6MTIxOmNvbXBsZXRlOjkxOTJlNDRiMWNjOTU0NTU1ZDllZGI5OTgxYTAwYWRkOnotMTA5Mi0xNDk3ODp3d3cucmVzY3JlYXR1LmNvbQ%3D%3D">complete my orders when every order has to be done by trading directly. i've watched a few of the other egg selling threads and i see how long it takes for them to go through the process too. having an option to put eggs into merchant shops will cut the time needed to run through the sale process in half.

I support this 100%. On a personal side, I see most of my eggs go spoiled before I can use them all, and what I don't sell/give as gifts..I delete (I have OCD and watching them sit in my hatchery for too long makes me anxious). Would be nice if I could get a bit more extra income from selling them in my shop.
I am a mother of a 2 yr old and my life is non-stop, considering I care for her, and my immediate family full time. I am depended on quite a bit, and that leaves me very small time to do person to person trading, so if I could just chuck them in my shop, it would be a huge time saver for everyone.
I can understand the coding issues, as I have coded similar things before, and from my experience, glitches or coding issues could be a pain in the wazoo, but it is doable :)

I hate to be that one guy who points out something against the idea, but this is my thought process

Eggs in shops = Eggs are easier to get

Eggs are easier to get = more creatu

More creatu = Less creatu value

On that train of thought it would be a boost to merchants and a blow to ranchers.
I dunno, I'm probably overlooking something that is common sense XD

Though I kind of would like eggs in the shops again. I think this has been suggested multiple times but...support

hmmm.... i can see where that would be true for most other games Dragon, but from what i've seen so far, any creatu that aren't mutant, CS, or dyed are valued at a very low amount of TU anyway. it wouldn't matter if eggs are easier to get or not. you get mutants from spoiled, CS from paying RL cash, and dyed you get from the black market or buying from a merchant shop. changing how you get eggs won't make a very big impact on the value.

It makes eggs no easier to get in my opinion
Still 100 eggs per day per person...people trade person to person anyway so its not that *more* eggs will get sold, its just that what is already available will sell quicker, and without you having to take the order, get the egg, get the tu, send the egg, blahh, blahhh.....
The only thing that changes anything is:
1- you can sell them quicker to your customers
2- you dont have to be online for your eggs to sell

Edit! - Anddd it will cut down on people being able to scam you. Example - Ordering eggs, and then running off and making every excuse in the book not to pay you...Its too much of a hassle to report the issue...and quite annoying

Edit #2 And another thing I forgot...You still only have either 1 hatch or 3 hatches per day...that wouldn't cause for more creatu, since that many are being hatched per day anyway. Even with people buying hatches, if they didn't buy them the user selling them would use those anyhow...There's only so many creatu that can be created per user per day :)

No support, because if the coders had been able to figure out what they needed in order to continue letting eggs stock in shops, it would have been done. They couldn't figure out the problem though.

Item auctions are the perfect place to sell eggs - that part of the game just isn't being utilized enough. Put your eggs in auction at the lowest price you'd be happy selling them for, set an auto-buy price slightly higher, and there ya go - automated egg selling. =)

I understand where you are coming from, and sorry if this is a bit blunt. If that part of the game isnt being utilized, then it's not exactly a good way to sell eggs, when no one is there to buy them...and I just tried to go buy an egg that auto buy was set at 10..I bid 10, and its just a bid, it wasnt given to me, so not quite sure how the auto buy even works.
And since the coders couldnt figure it out...well I very sincerely hope you get some better coder applicants!

Sorry if any of that sounds rude, or if Im just misunderstanding. Its just what I see.

That was my whole point though - rather than that area being used, it's being suggested that someone be paid to code something else altogether. It's there, it's available, it should be used.

I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say autobuy doesn't work - I just went and autobid 10 TU on a skaldyr egg, and immediately the auction closed, and the egg is in my hatchery.

Ok, I just rechecked. I did get the egg and it closed it. That's convenient and a nice way to sell eggs. So I do see your point now. In a previous experience I could have sworn that option didnt work. My apologies. Hopefully the auctions will come to life a bit more. I'll give it a chance, but I still support this idea too. :) Thanks for pointing out what I was missing

As long as that "something else all together" works like what we used to have for Merchant Shops selling eggs, I'm good.

Although I highly disagree on Item Auctions being the perfect place for selling eggs. Perfect for the sellers maybe, crappy for the buyers. Bidding wars, the system of Tu being returned only AFTER the auction ends, having to wait, etc. None of that is good for the buyers. I'd be better off buying from forums or just hunting for the egg myself.

i'd have to agree with Graveyard on the item tle="Powered by Text-Enhance" id="_GPLITA_0" style="text-decoration:underline" href="#" in_rurl="http://www.textsrv.com/click?v=VVM6MTU4ODE6MjAxOmF1Y3Rpb246M2M3MmU0ZTc4NGEyMzgyOWU0YTM3MTk4NGQ2MGNiZjA6ei0xMDkyLTE0OTc4Ond3dy5yZXNjcmVhdHUuY29t">auction not being the best place. yes they may sell fairly quickly (i have already tested it out before) but i have also been on the receiving end of the item tle="Powered by Text-Enhance" id="_GPLITA_1" style="text-decoration:underline" href="#" in_rurl="http://www.textsrv.com/click?v=VVM6MTU4ODE6MjAxOmF1Y3Rpb246M2M3MmU0ZTc4NGEyMzgyOWU0YTM3MTk4NGQ2MGNiZjA6ei0xMDkyLTE0OTc4Ond3dy5yZXNjcmVhdHUuY29t">auction (and i still am on the receiving end of the creatu auction). it is killer on the buyer. like i said before, i am more of a merchant/business-type player. i prefer using the best possible method of selling my items for both parties, not just one. an auction setting for the eggs, in my opinion, just isn't the best method to use.

for example i am often on the creatu auction. the bidding wars and people always boosting the price 10 times the minimum price, all of it is killer on the buyer. you also have to constantly be tle="Powered by Text-Enhance" id="_GPLITA_0" style="text-decoration:underline" href="#" in_rurl="http://www.textsrv.com/click?v=VVM6MTQ3Nzg6MTIxOm9ubGluZTo2ZTNmMDA1YjZhZDg4YWZkMTAwZjQ1NjAyZGRiMWRkMjp6LTEwOTItMTQ5Nzg6d3d3LnJlc2NyZWF0dS5jb20%3D">online in order to effectively participate in any sort of auction. many of the players of Res have busy lives, family and kids to take care of, work and school and making a living for themselves, myself included. and all of us know that our real lives have to come first. we log in when we can, simple as that. i can't afford to be online every moment to keep an eye on an auction i want, and many other people have the same issue. re-implementing the option to put eggs into merchant shops will help more people then it will hurt, if only for the reason that you don't need to be online constantly to sell your eggs if they are in your merchant. if it wasn't for the fact that i am a merchant and only have one hatch a day available to me unless i buy hatches, it's safe for me to say i would not use the creatu auction. the item auction is the same exact thing, only auctioning off a different item.

We will be developing a separate feature for selling eggs. Eggs will never be able to be sold inside of merchant shops. It is not possible.

Kahlan: you have a form of adware on your computer. If you do a google search for "how to remove Text-Enhance" you should be able to get rid of it.
