Content Manager Posts: 3,132	I don't know what the deal might be with anything even remotely like this, but hey, worth a shot, right? Soo.. WittyProfiles has a filter that takes swear words and replaces them with less offensive ones. I do believe Res needs something like this. While swearing is not a very common SB offense, it would still come in handy, no? Like... Replace 'words' with like, "Fudge/Forget," etc. I don't know which words are explicitly banned except for the big one, so heh. n-n' BUT THEN. Staff should also be able to tell if a user said the real word or the replacement. It would just be awkward if it was announced on the SB, so maybe take the warning to Rmail? LOLIDK

Normal User Posts: 4,744	I think that is a good idea. I am only thirteen, and personally, even if it is an accident, I am not to keen on learning all the swear words out there. Support for something like this :)

"This computer is a piece of smurfy goodness" lol...give us some suggestions for replacement words/phrases! There would be some spamming and overuse in the beginning, but they would be handled (gently at first) like other spammy things. We went through the same thing when the use of "ass" was unbanned...you guys found ways to work "ass" into every sentence xD But we knew it would calm down eventually, and it did. =) ＊•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚♫ and the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate ♫＊•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚

Normal User Posts: 4,744	Yeah, we can't judge the good of the thought on the abuse a few might use it for. I think it is a great idea, just especially for the one that everyone ALWAYS abbreviates (I hope everyone knows what that is) It is so annoying, and some people use it a lot.

Normal User Posts: 858	What if it was made into a one day event, and not with swear words but normal words instead. Like if every time someone says the word "creatu", it instead posts rainbow farting unicorn or something :) Support my idea for a new type of pet!
