I think 100 eggs a day is alot of eggs. While doing seasonal hunts I just didnt pick up any other eggs. Also while egg hunting I usually only pick up the rare ones for that planet anyways.
Goddesss, that is true. But you can still get to 100 eggs, even if you only pick up the rare ones. It's nice to see how close you are to 100 eggs, so that you know if you should stop picking up rare eggs so often. If you couldn't see, you could think that you are too close and stop picking up eggs other than seasonals, even though there may be no need to. Or you may continue to pick up eggs, but when you get a seasonal, you can't pick it up!

I agree with Xee. I myself dont personally find it useful. Though I do admit I dont hunt eggs often though when I did I only hit the limit once and that was while picking up most every egg I cam across. I do think that so many people would find it useful it would be a nice thing to have. I dont think it would hurt the current system set up in anyway saying how many eggs you have already found and if there is one I cant think of it. That being said ...
At the moment I have to keep a tally every time the eggs reach a hundred (I'm trying to do hard egg quests) and half the time I get it wrong. I would find this useful.
Support...I would also suggest that it can be turned on/off like the little sb can. I have picked up like 3 eggs in the last 5 months so I wouldn't use this much...but I still support it just for seasonal hunts. lol.
To tag along with this idea, as silly as it seems, would be a counter to show when your limit is refreshed. Some people don't remember when they picked their first egg up, this idea could also be a helpful feature during seasonal hunts, especially with the new time limit, and when you are doing egg quest or are trying to stock pile eggs.
