But I could see why they took it out... it gave a small chance for a name to open up. If someone had a name, and then the pet died... the user would have some time to resurrect the pet/name before it became available once more... but this could be bad if a user worked so hard for a name and then suddenly lost it... well look at me second guessing myself...just ignore me xD
There isn't an alert system for when your creatu get hungry, because, if you really cared enough, you would check on them and your food pen whenever you're online. Someone could also argue that there is no easy way to send out alerts if your creatu is hungry, because they get hungry at different times, and then your alert box would be full of "this creatu is getting hungry!" or "This creatu is starving!" and if someone sent you an rmail, you would never know.
