I mentioned in an another suggestion thread about having a button in the top of the creatu hatching page to realease a creatu into the wild with no name. This would effectively get rid of having to name a creatu you hatched that no one wants, and the creatu could just be deleted that way.
Of course, I'm one of those that will go without hatching for days simply because I don't want to forest anything, so I loose those hatches. Perhaps there could be a way for ranchers to sell their hatches to an NPC that other folks could buy later for more money. This would prevent folks from feeling "obligated" to hatch for the day and would quiet those people who complain they don't get to hatch enough. Of course, I'd still like to see hatches decreased before then.
Its an option to consider at any rate.
And its not impossible to hatch a good name. I've hundreds of good names in my shop. You just have to be able to look beyond the dictionary to do so. There are other languages you can get a name for with online dictionaries if you must have a real word, or you can simply make up a name. There are far too many real word pets around that I simply do not want to purchase.
I surf the ACS, buy cheap seasonal natties with horrid names and either release them, or keep them to rename later. I look for poorly named, cheap albinos to rename. I've also seen the liyures and kiokas going extremely cheap with names that I wouldn't give to any pet, much less the most expensive ones. And all I can think about while doing this is "Why bother hatching, much less keeping the creatu in your shop in the hopes that someone will come along and buy something super cheap that they won't treasure."
