Well, it occurred to me that the retired Credit Shop pets are the only pets without the ability to be dyed colors like Orchid, Rose, ect. I think it would be really awesome if we can dye our Omnies, Liyures, and Kiokas those colors also. :/ I'm pretty sure that they'd like to come in more colors also. ;D (unless there is some super secret conspiracy about it going on making it impossible for them to ever be considered for this... If there is, I'd like to hear about it.)

Something like these:

I do believe that it would be a waste to release colours for Retired pets, which are very hard to obtain and don't have any more coming into the system. I think that's pretty much Staff's theory as to why these pets aren't released in these colours. Why they didn't consider it originally, I don't know, but in a way it makes them more elite, at least to me.

That is true, but they did make these guys available for the new Rave color. :/

Trance was meant to be Special, I think. And that was only one colour instead of many like all the DKs would be.
Maybe they'll release new special colours for the Retired CS. Who knows?

Semi-support. I get where you are coming from, Dawn.

Since the retired CS Creatu you have mentioned are already retired, not much work would be expected for them to continue the colour list. Retired CS Creatu are supposed to be rare and special, unlike the current CSers that do not require as much TU to obtain, as Graveyardfox has mentioned.

The most we can do now is just have pet edits of what colors we wish the retired CSers would be.
And do some creative coding to make it seem like it's a different color than what it can be. xD

Well, what if they only did the color on adults? (re-coloring is actually fairly easy and quick if you have the original image)

That wouldn't work, because it's possible to Zap any pet back to a previous stage.
And true, it's fairly easy to do recolours, but it takes time away from the artist that they could be used to do something else. Also, I'm pretty sure Patrick still has to pay for recolours, although I'm not entirely sure how payment to Artists work.

To answer the question of why these Creatu didn't get dye colors in the first place.. Pretty much, other than gold, dye colors didn't exist back then. P: I'm pretty sure even when the three were retired, new dyes were still being released. Heck, amber didn't come out and finish off the dyes 'til.. what, almost a year after that?

Anyway. I agree that by not having all the dye colors, the retired trio retains an extra air of specialness and rarity. I.. have always been partial to the idea of Credit Shop pets coming in just a few special colors, really. Even if I have gotten used to the new ones having dye colors, I sure raged when it was first announced. xD

Besides, unless you already have eight or nine spare naturals of one of these species lying around, it'd become even more impossible to get a full collection than it is now, with how much all of 'em would cost. Dye kits were created to give extra value to natural pets. I'm not sure the retired ones exactly need that, since being retired has pretty much already accomplished the same thing to a huge degree. They've got like. All the value, man.

I'm not sure if dye colors could be released for the retired CS pets without having them redrawn first. I believe artists are missing the original psd's for them. D;

@Graveyardfox: Well, the image doesn't have to load for the other stages if they did that. (Such as, before the redraw for the Mirabilis, I purchased a black one and her picture didn't load until the redraw and colors were released. *morphing potions*)

@yoshi: The collection-thing might be the main problem there hm... (although some people have tons of them as it is. @_@)

@mirrors: That's one of the worst things to lose.... (but how did they do Trance then? Just add a new la[injection]yer?)

I don't believe that's fair to anyone who likes a stage of the Retired CS Creatu other than adult. Actual features of Res should not have broken images.

Few people have an absolute ton of CS pets and are still around. Usually it's the very old members who have them (or a bunch of them), and it'd be unfair to new users to release a colour that only a few older pla[injection]yers can access if they even wanted it. It'd probably bump up the natural value even more, which would be quite frustrating to people trying to save.
