I'm going to explain my no support now...

I really don't like the idea of clearing items/pets from permanently banned/inactive accounts. It lets you admire what that user has/used to have. Those users may want to hoard their pets. Or not. It's THEIR choice.

They may want those pets so that they can show off (not in a braggy way, just a display way). Even if their not active, doesn't mean people can't admire from afar their pets.

Some people leave, unsure if they will come back or not in the near or far future. All they know is that they are leaving and won't be on for some time. It's not a "hiatus". It's quitting with possibilities of coming back. They may forget the site. They might forget it forever, or for a while. Then, one day, they might think "hey, I remember this site called Rescreatu. I'll go check it out". When they go to explore their account, everything they worked for it gone. :c I know that if I left my pets/items/tu would stay with me. They would be a display, for people to admire and wish for.

Alright, I see where everyone's coming from now. Thanks for the feedback. I guess I just get sad at seeing names like that go to waste, kinda like how I really can't stand wasting things in real life. It's just such a shame. But oh well.

I do also agree that the banned users pets should be deleted after some time. I think this because the people who got banned probably deserved it. If they didn't though, they could have some time to recover their accounts before the pets got deleted. Or something. But that does make more sense than people leaving and their pets getting deleted. If they're banned for legit reasons, and can't recover their account again, the pets should be deleted. But that's just my opinion.

I think the main reason why banned accounts are not deleted, is the very thing, that banned users deserve not to get their pets back ever.
Just a guess, but I think most banned users do not leave the site. They open a new account with new username and remain, and I think they follow the rules this time. So if they can expect that the old banned account gets deleted, they can look out for that, and get back their pets from before.
I think the reason why banned accounts are never deleted is to prevent that (not to mention that some accounts do get unbanned after a while, and then the previous user would be upset about losing everything).

I support the pets from banned users being deleted, with a few rules.

Of course, there would need to be a time limit for accounts who were wrongly banned or whatever happens when some accounts become unbanned. I believe a couple of months is long enough to question why your account was banned/inquire about getting it unbanned.

As Yaiz pointed out, they could be watching for the pet, so perhaps releasing them into the forest would be a good idea. Even if we simply released the names, if it were albino or something, the user would have to work to get it back onto that pet.

Also, people who want certain names could be looking out for them as well. If one used the pet search, they would see the account had been banned and could simply check daily to see if that name was avalible. That's what people who take graveyard names do from what I can tell. Leaves the pets a fair game.

I think that if a user has been banned, no they do not deserve the stuff on their account just given back, but if they're now following the rules on a different account, I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to work their butts off to try to get their old stuff back.

I don't, nor will I ever, support inactive users pets being released or banned, for reasons previously stated. I've been thinking about going on hiatus and I would be devastated to come back to find any of my pets missing.

EDIT: *looks up* Wow. That's probably the biggest post I've ever made on res that wasn't just listing stuff for sale.

Banned accounts won't be deleted, but at some point all the pets in those accounts will be left to die. Not deleted though.

Inactive accounts will never be touched.

I agree with you completely, DarkFire, and yes, after several responses from users I believe too that it would be wrong to release/delete pets from inactive users.Do you mind if I change the main post to support your idea?

Sorry, broken, you might have misunderstood me. I'm not talking about accounts being deleted. If they're banned they're banned, but I'm definitly not for accounts being removed. I was talking about the pets only. Just saying. :) And as I said above, I don't think inactive accounts should be touched either anymore.

I'm completely fine with that, and I'm glad I got my ideas across well :)

I hate how banned users have pets priced for billons in shops. I recently found out a dream name of mine was in a banned users shop for two billion tu, so I've had my mind on this lately.

I understand D: That's the whole reason I started this thread, but now it's a little bit more reasonable, thanks to you :) Hopefully now that the proposal has changed, people will start to support it.

I support. But only if the user has not logged on for a good amount of time. ex: 2 years maybe?

Yazi and Xeeroh had a good point, I agree with them.
