So I had a idea. I thought when the server detects an account is about to made on a computer that already has account, why not put something up? Like a red stop sign or something that says, "STOP! AN ACCOUNT HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE ON THIS COMPUTER, AND MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS WILL LEAD TO BAN. IF THIS IS A RELATIVES ACCOUNT, REGARD THIS MESSAGE." Or something like that. I mean, sure you should read the rules, but for the slackers who don't, this would give them a second chance! In my opinion, it would really lower the ban rate. What'd you guys think?
Dragon: I've had seven different accounts use my computer, and nothing's happened. All my four friends, my cousin, and my little brother. It seems to be working out.
No support, because this would just be an annoyance for every AOL user, most users in Australia, Singapore, etc. It isn't going to stop those who truly want to cheat, unfortunately.

And yeah, no support. However, I think maybe simply adding in red that multiple accounts are not permitted and would lead to a ban on the Register page would be a good idea. No messing with coding or annoying popups like that, just a simple addition.

Why not just put the warning about "Only one account per user" in big fat red letters on the sign-up page? No need for the server to detect anything, just make it a permanent addition to the page. And prominent, so there's even less excuse for multi-account cheaters. (Apologies if something like that is already there, as I haven't seen the sign-up page since 2007). XD
AOL and the countries I listed recycle their IP addys more than other places, meaning we have some IP addresses with hundreds of users on them (individual users, not multis).
I'd love to have something on the signup page, but Patrick is particular about the look of things so I don't know if that will happen or not. There has been something in the works for a while though for new user signups, a walkthru of sorts, including the rules page.
