I think a journal type thing would be extremely beneficial if implemented. My apologies, if this has already been suggested before. I looked through the already suggested ideas. And I do not recall seeing anything similar to this in the way that I was thinking. A little diary that only you are able to access (and staff, of course) would be helpful to have to keep little reminders to yourself; however, it would be private, so only you would be able to see it, possibly with it existing in the blogs section because a diary or journal can be thought of as an extension to blogs. For instance, I am not a total fanatic of people leaving little notes on their profiles saying things like "_________ owes me ____" I would be embarrassed if I was that user. I think that little reminders like this should be private to avoid issues. It would be better to have a little log/journal/Res diary to put little notes like that into. And also you could use this little journal to keep logs to yourself, maybe about that specific day you spent on Res. I understand that I could start a journal elsewhere. But in the sense that I am organized, I like to have everything in a certain category together (if that makes any sense.) I could start a journal in real life, but I think it would be easier to have one on Res, is basically what I am trying to say. Also, maybe it could be in this forum format. but organized like blogs. So you can easily change colors, fonts, sizes, and such. Or it could be like the blogs And you could just code it. Anything works. For me, a feature like this would be incredibly useful. Input is welcome. And I will update as ideas change.

Awesome idea. I would LOVE something like this. I agree, I'm not a fan of the "___ owes me" lists, but I'd forget otherwise unfortunately.
It'd be great for keeping personal hatching logs and Kir logs, too. (Yes I know there's a log that keeps track of the pets you give Kir, but only the last 50.) Good for keeping tabs on commissions, on promises you make to people, your goals, planning things out..
I think we really need a feature like this. :I
Complete and utter support.

Thanks so much for your input Dust ^.^ I would probably forget about someone owing me something, as well. I have put it on my profile before, I just can't help but feeling a it bad, though. In a way. It's not meaning to be offensive. I just feel bad for some reason... But yesss commissions and everyrthing along those lines! Thanks for your support. (:

Another way I can see this would be Private Forums or threads where only that user can have access to or maybe some select people or ResPal. Would you think that would suffice?

I don't know Frank, that seems like it would be a nice idea, but would completely obliterate the "personal journal" part of it. It would be great for things like private roleplays with one or two Respals, but if that were the case then it would be more like a shared forum. A journal would allow for something that ONLY that user can see.
For example, imagine this. I want to have one thread for personal ramblings and ideas for my creatu's character. I also want a thread for my roleplay with three of my Respals. Would I be able to allow them to see JUST ONE THREAD? Or would they then have access to my entire Private Forum?
I think it'd be a little strange to have them both in the same place, and for every thread having to manually click "Frank can see this" and "Frank can see this" but "Frank can't see this." For every thread.
I think a simple personal journal would make much more sense and actually be simpler to implement than an entire Private Forum.
Maybe if they were separate, but I'm not in support of having them together.

I agree with Dust because it would be a bit odd to put a Private Journal
along with Forums. Normally forums are open to the public. But what Frank said was actually, sort of, what I was thinking. In a way. Maybe a new category could be added to the Forums page and it would be the place where you have all of your journals. That would work for me. Something like that. With a new feature that enables you to select who is able to see your journal.

I like this idea it would help users be more organized and not forget what they owe to people, Kir stuff, and other. I support this idea. Mabye there could be a part of your "journal" for roleplays. So the user couldn't go to the full journal but only that certain part. Either way I support.

This is a neat idea! To put the forum sharing and journal idea together, I could see you allowing to share your Journal pages with friends and other users. Everyone likes making little boxes on their profiles for stuff like this. A personal journal seems like it would be an easy place to access your own notes!

Thank you, crowflux ^.^ I like the little div boxes, but it's not a private thing. Some times I would like to make reminders to myself without everyone seeing them. Maybe to avoid embarrassing a user who owes something to me, or a personal goal for myself to see only. A personal journal would be fantastic to make notes to yourself. Like private logs and such. For example, sometimes I want to collect data from hatching and see my own personal luck on the game, and other things along those lines, I just don't want to create a forum post that could be taking up space, when a personal journal would be awesome.

I like this idea. Maybe it was another game- Howrse? - that had it, and it was great for keeping dates of when I got specific goals or began working on it.

This same sort of idea came up a couple of years ago also, suggested as a notepad feature back then...I am not sure why that discussion died out though? Always thought it was a great idea.

I like this idea but one thing, how about we made it like some form of extention to the blogs. Blogs, journals and diaries are all very similar concepts afterall

Good point, Llama. There will need to be some thoughts on how this will relate to/fit in with other features. :)

That was also what I was thinking, Llama. Either on blogs or forums. It definitely would make more sense as an extension to blogs, though.

SUPPORT.
I also don't like when people write their little reminders on their profiles, but then again, where else can they put them? This is a perfect idea. So yes.
