When you want to send something to another user, there is that default "Username" there in the little box where you are supposed to type the username you want to send the item/pet to.
However, I have encountered a couple of mouse slips and accidentally clicked the "Send" button to a user named "Username". I have lucked out that the user was kind enough to send the pet back, but maybe just removing that default would prevent others from having this accident to happen to them. And when people make the slip, there could be an error page saying to insert a username.
It has been fixed everywhere but when sending pets, as far as I know. There is a confirmation popup now when sending items or eggs, and "username" has been removed from the bank.
I'll remind Pat about fixing it where pets are sent as well.
