There shouldn't be such a big gap between April and October for Seasonal Creatu. I suggest two more Seasonal Creatu, spaced out on the two month intervals so they fall in June and August. And there ought to be a better balance of the planets on which they occur. Since Atquati has no seasonals, I suggest one or two for Atquati. The June Seasonal Creatu could be related to summer or summer solstice, like swimming, like a fish type which would fit with the water world of Atquati, or the fish pond on Relcore. Or it could be related to the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, which could be on Atquati or Relcore. This ancient Chinese festival was once an outdoor boat race where dragon-shaped boats raced, symbolizing a real dragon fight in the heavens, to bring heavy rains. The festival took place after the spring planting, when people had time to relax and needed rain for their crops. Today it is celebrated near the fifth day of the fifth moon on the Chinese Calendar. Vietnamese and Viet-Chinese call this the Fifth of Five Moon Festival. Dragons are the most important symbol of good fortune in Chinese tradition. Celebrated in May or June. The August Seasonal Creatu could be related to the Hindu festival Raksha Bandhan. It celebrates the old legends of showing love to your brothers and sisters. According to one mythological allusion, Rakhi was intended to be the worship of the sea-god Varuna. Hence, offerings of coconut to Varuna, ceremonial bathing and fairs at waterfronts accompany this festival. There are also myths that describe the ritual as observed by Indrani and Yamuna for their respective brothers Indra and Yama. Celebrated in August. This could also be an Atquati or Relcore festival. These two festivals could better tie in our users in other parts of the world. If there are any seasonal festivals in Australia during these months they'd also be a welcome addition.

You're right, Relcore has the Jaaku seasonal. But Atquati still has none. And Reiflem and Scria each have two. They all seem to fit their planets except maybe the Iluvu, but it's well known to Reiflem, so I wouldn't change that. Therefore, I'm pushing for at least one Atquati Seasonal. After all, I'm an Atquati resident. The break between April and October is too large. Since I joined in April, just after the Easero hunt was over, it was a LOOONG dry spell between, when it it was hard to make any tu. The Seasonals come about every two months, October, December, February, and April, but none then for 5 months. Even having one seasonal creatu for the summer would help. The span of approx every 2 months during the winter is currently OK. I don't think moving existing seasonal creatu would help the gap between April and October. They all fit with their current holiday, and moving planets might confuse things.

I agree. The gap is very large and it would be pretty disappointing for any new players to have to wait a long time for their first seasonal egg hunt.

I think the Atquati seasonal could be a dolphin or something like that. Or maybe a little frog? Just suggestions though.

Think we should celebrate more international festivals. I don't think the dragon boat festival would be a good idea. It's not very major and I CNY. I think the chinese ghost festival (in august) would be better. It plays a more major role in Chinese culture.

CNY? What does that mean? I never heard of the Chinese Ghost Festival, but it sounds fun. But don't we already have a ghost based creatu?

Thanks for your input Ping! Unfortunately Chinese New Year falls nearly on top of Valentine's Day, or at least between the Seasonals Uilus and Iluvu. I tried to find a Chinese holiday that was in June or August. The Chinese Ghost Festival sounds better, and since it falls in August would fit very nicely. From the wikipedia info below, maybe it would be a good idea to move one of the American Halloween Seasonals to this holiday. The Ebilia would be a prime candidate because of its decomposing tendencies. From the wikipedia: The Ghost Festival (simplified Chinese: 中元!410;; traditional Chinese: 中元節; pinyin: zh!3;ngyuánjié) is a traditional Chinese festival and holiday, which is celebrated by Chinese in many countries. In the Chinese calendar (a lunisolar calendar), the Ghost Festival is on the 15th night of the seventh lunar month. In Chinese tradition, the fifteenth day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar is called Ghost Day and the seventh month in general is regarded as the Ghost Month ('740;月), in which ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower realm. During the Qingming Festival the living descendants pay homage to their ancestors and on Ghost Day, the deceased visit the living. The Ghost Festival shares some similarities with the predominantly Mexican observance of El Día de los Muertos. Due to theme of ghosts and spirits, the festival is sometimes also known as the Chinese Halloween, though many have debated the difference between the two.

Tails: I agree. A Fish, Dolphin, or Frog type of creatu would do well as a Seasonal for Atquati. But there is already a frog type in the Goiba that is not very popular. A Dolphin type would be popular, as would a fancy Koi type.

A fancy koi type sounds cool. There is also the Tarqim idea that is going.

Thanks for the Tarqim idea Tacos. I looked it up and posted in it, agreeing with the look of it, but requesting it be for Summer Solstice in June.

If you made the pet look creepy, yes. The ghost festival is in no way similar to halloween. The ghost festival is celebrated to respect the dead. People fold up hundreds of paper taels. They are burnt and it is believed that these taels will go to the dead to have happy time and spend loads of cash. Paper food, clothes and toys are burnt too (you need stuff to spend the money on afterall). People have lots of fun with this, I've seen paper PS2s, mansions, iPods and ferraris in praying shops. Special paper ticket things are burned, these things are tickets for the dead to be reborn. Anyways, saying we already have a scary holiday isn't a good reason why we should celebrate the ghost festival in my opinion. We already have more than one happy holidays.
