I'm kind of new here so I don't know if people are suggesting new colors all the time and every gets annoyed, but... 

 I was thinking it would be cool if there was a hatchable color called "variegated."  Which basically means having markings instead of a solid color.  The term variegated allows for flexibility between stripes, spots, splotches, speckles, etc.--because some Creatu (mirabilis, gondra?) might look better in stripes, and some (zenirix, tesuri?) might look better in spots, or pied--and because some already have stripes or patches.

 As for the specific hues, maybe something close to the species' "natural"color, but perhaps more subdued, or darkened if it's a pale color?  I'm thinking of canaries; the classic solid yellow vs. the variegated which is more brown or even green.  

And there might be a catchier word to use than "variegated" but I can't think of one at the moment...

I am unsure how it could be applied, but this could add a fun extra element to creatu collections.

How do other players feel about alternate markings for creatu?

I like the idea even though it would mean having to hoard even more pets in order to complete my collections XDD

The real artists would probably have MUCH better ideas for specific markings (and of course do a much better job than I can) but I do think the Aukira looks nice with that "pied" look, and the ardur with the snake-like pattern.  They pretty much look like the natural color of the species, but with a few markings.  I was thinking it would be nice that way because the Natural colors are all very pretty, but no one appreciates them because they're not rare. tle="Tongue out" />  So this color could do two things: (1)be a new color that people will want to hatch, and (2) give some more credit to the Natural color. 

 as for rarity, I was thinking maybe between black and ginger?  because it's not really striking or flashy the way albino and blonde are.  Just sort of subtle and classy(?)

This could be a good idea, as long as it's a hatchable type. Maybe new jelly beans to get new patterns? There would be tons of combinations if they can be associated with other hatchable colors.

But then again.. It'll be a bit cluttered. Plus, pray that Kir doesn't ask for a specific pattern with a rare color.

There should be a way to just remove the patterns somehow. Whatever that is will probably be a CS item or something.
