Official Human Avatar Discussion Thread

Congratulations to those of you who have been selected to test the Human Avatar system. This thread is the designated area for all discussion to take place during the beta testing of this project.

Note: During this process, user HA's may be reset occasionally. If they are, do not be alarmed.

Alright, just spent the last few minutes playing around with the HA system, and the first thing I noticed is probably a layering problem/glitch.

When I put a shirt on my Avatar, and then remove it, she's missing her bra. The same goes for the pants; if I remove them after puttng them on there's nothing covering her up. Not really a major issue, I just *censored*ume that the avatar can be saved like this (mine is, I think) and it's sort of inappropriate to have scantily unclad people running around Res. Unless, of course, you're going for a nudist colony. <3

EDIT: I just saved the HA like that and looked on my profile. She still had the underwear combination on, so I guess it's only something that happens in the creator itself.

The other is in the 'markings' category. If I use the Mark of the Soulless it automatically sits on top of my Avatar's shirt. Not really difficult to change the layering, but I would think markings would be on the skin itself and automatically la
yer beneath clothing. Just a thought. ;3

So far, I've found no glitches in the HA. But, one thing bothers me: the eyes and eyebrow pictures are bothering me. I can barely see them, 'cause they're so small, and it annoys me to have to click on one of them to see the picture. :U Just sayin'.

The next patch update will include a fix for that Kira. Read the info in the first post about it :)

 The first issue you found, Alchaeon, will also be fixed with the next patch update. The second issue looks like a layering problem. 

Patrick, there has been a lag. At first it was rolling along fine. Then I tried to go to the wardrobe section my computer freezes, and then I have to reboot the internet, though the rest of the site is running fine for me.

I keep going to it, but it doesn't even get to loading the shoutbox. Maybe I will take off the Shoutbox, and maybe it will finish loading.

On fuctionality-

Yep I think thats a problem right now, the weird freezing. It was working fine at first, but after I clicked save the whole thing died and IE totally freaked out and stops everytime it goes to the HA editing page. I suppose it's either in the process of being updated or something because Firefox also can't access it either. Poor Firefox D8 Had to curl in a little corner of "Well this is embaressing." x3 -pets browers-

1) loading/saving avatar is SLO-O-O-O-W

2) I was able to dress the figure that first appeared and save it without 'making' the avatar (choosing skin, eyes whatever)

3) I didn't reset the avatar and went to change the body and the page loaded up blank. Resending info still gave blank page.

4) I can't reset or clear my image...it seems stuck on the first one I saved and I can't save anything over it.

5) I have more clothing items than appear in my wardrobe 

Suggestions (besides making the eyes on select bigger XD) It would be cool to hold balloons, weapons or squishys...

OR how about if we can have a creatu standing beside us? And what if we could type something under the avatar like, 'this is me and my trusty zenirix Cerberuse'. 

Yep. ono My computer keeps freezing up whenever I try to load the avatar page. Apparently, a few other people are having that problem, too.
Is the HA being updated right now? Is that why we can't load the page?

Eeno, did you save the changes you made to your avatar? That's probably why it reset.

I love the idea of having a creatu standing by you; it'd be great to have  your selected/active pet automatically appear there if you set it that way. o3o

My suggestion is for a dress or two, because Alchy is a girly-girl and would love to wear one. <3

I'm having the same problem with loading the HA system too. :c When it first came up, I could go on no problem. Then it glitched out a few times and I had to refresh over and over for it to come up. Now I can't even navigate to the page. I'm using IE if that halps (don't hate me; I like it. Dx).

Also, I heard that the Library emptying is a glitch caused by the system, so I'd like to report that my library is lonely without all its books.

Also I'd like to suggest that someday maybe there could be backgrounds and/or borders around the HA.

And different poses in the HA on it and clothing.

The following items don't show up in my wardrobe:

• Orchid Polo Shirt

Also, I noticed there is no tab for jewlery, like Orange Beads, or accessories like Green Bunny Ears, even though they are sold in the clothing shop.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I haven't read all the posts yet :)

My library was also emptied into my inventory.

Okay, here's a quick runthrough of my experience.

• Opened beta, noticed that I couldn't differenciate one thing from another on the eyes and ears pages.
• Treked on, being wholely pleased by how easily setting up my avatar worked. Did not remember to save my avatar before I went to the wardrobe though.
• Noticed that a good half of the things I've bought didn't show up in my wardrobe.
• Got well dressed up, once again pleased with the ease of usage. Remembered to save this time.
• Remade my avatar, saved.
• Watched as IE crashed.
• Checked this thread.
• Checked the library, my books have been sent back to inventory too.
• Went back to the avatar system.
• Watched IE crash.

So, I'll be sitting here, waiting for people to say it's safe before I explore the system any further.

So far things are working okay on this end. Though I will have to say like some of the others that while in the HA system that its making my computer lag pretty bad.

Which has already been pointed out about the small icons of the eyes and ears and brows. And really with me, on the ears, I would of thought that it would of changed the ear type..not the ear color.

yer thing is going to be fun and a pain. Its nice to be able to wear a jacket and then have a shirt under it. But getting the layers wrong means that things like (for me) my bra ended up being above the jacket and undershirt. I would suggest on the HA system that the bra be almost built onto the body, and nothing could la
yer past it. A la
yer guide would be nice also. Like if : Body la
yer 0. Bra la
yer 1. Undershirt la
yer 5. Jacket la
yer 10. Ect.

So then like when things like possible skin art or jacket pins are added, then they can be layered in.

Thus far, the only item I have that did not load were the sneakers I just bought. Other then that gloves, hat, top 2, jacket, and pants have loaded.

Running much better then last night. Still a good lag. Though I keep having underwears and bras floating all over the place. Sometimes I get a body or a forearm or something xD

It goes well, I really haven't found any layering issue myself. Although I do have my Books in my inventory. Everything has loaded fine. Uhm, having an issue with;

After I save it, on my profile the HA is naked again. I don't know if that is how it should be. As far as going back to the "dress up area" she is still dressed. Has me rather confused. Or am I missing something? Anyone know?

She is dressed on my profile. It lagged and didn't let me do anything. So I had to End the Program, but once comming back onto the site it showed her dressed.
