Okay, this is a possible solution to combat 'necro-posting'.
After x amount of days*, a certain thread becomes 'locked', if you will, and refrains anybody from re-posting on it. There is an exception for the actual owner of the thread, and members of staff.
(*Without anybody posting on the thread.)
I understand that it will cause soom people to try and 'bump' up threads more often, but I could see it as a better solution than the one we have currently.

I think thats good, as long as the owner can post as you said. :3 Thats great, actually. However, if the owner specifically says "I am leaving this thread. Leave the lock-posting to ______. Thank you." Or something CLEARLY on the front page in bold or something, then ______ should get to post... maybe. I haven't thought it through very much, so yeah. xD Support. Maybe an exception should be Roleplay threads?
Perhaps Fizzy, the roleplaying threads could have a longer period of time. I'm not a roleplayer myself, so I'm not familiar with how fast a thread dissapears and whatnot.
This is confusing me. D; Does it mean after x amounts of days a thread is automatically locked, regardless of if it was active recently or not? Or does it mean after x amount of days of inactivicticy (no idea how to spell eet :c) the thread is locked?
