Y'know how you gett really big images that stretch the page and how some of the text on the page is lost due to the big image? I have a few ideas to resolve that problem...
Disabling signatures:
- A user can disble another user's signature (it is very common to find oversized signatures and often, they are the cause of the page stretch)
- OR staff will disable the signature until the person resizes it (not too sure how this will work though)
- If the signature is disabled, it should be replaced with "signature disabled" or "signature disabled by staff"
- I suppose an enable signature button could be in the signature? Just in case someone wants to see it?
- In the forum options, there should be a reminder that says "signatures should have a width smaller than [INSERT NUMBER OF PX HERE] to avoid stretching the page.
Image moderation:
- Staff should moderate images
- Staff should question the user whether using a URL or resizing the image is possible if the image is too big
- If the image is too big, it does not count as a warning and they do not become punished in any way. Just a simple reminder.
I don't want to copy and paste text from a stretched page into the quick reply any more. I want to see the text, without page stretches and I'm sure you do too.
