This is a small suggestion but what if we put Red X'sin the slots where the pet is unavailable?
For example: There is no Amber Meragon (supposedly) so in the amber meragon slot there would be a red X. When the color becomes available it will turn into a dash.
The reason I suggest this is because I like to see my progress in a complete way. But it really is more for aesthetics but I like it.
